Always a good meal here, even when busy. The service is good. The atmosphere is okay, just go during the week and not around a holiday.

We ate here quite often over Easter. Always good food, nice staff and pleasant atmosphere. Plenty of bars.

Good place to take your family for a nice early dinner when it's not too cold in the Hunter region. It's typical pub food with a bit of a spin. The kids menu are ok and there is sure to be something on there that your kids will like too.

We ate here on a Wednesday night and the bistro was very busy. I've had much better pub grub elsewhere- my chicken was very dry and my husband's ribs didn't low him away either. The only Irish thing I could see about this place is the 3 beers on tap and a pie with Guinness. One of the pluses is live music on weekends and the food is OK though I can never understand why places like this make pizza. Pizza is one of the cheapest things that you can cook and they serve... We called into Harrigans when it was a bit too late for brunch & a bit too early for lunch & had a few drinks to pass the time on the deck. It was so nice! The kids were happy playing on the grass & completely safe & visible! We didn't have lunch here but wish we had!

A great location and atmosphere are just the starts. Kilkenny on tap and a James Squires tasting board only add to the experience. Friendly staff. Very satisfying meals (if a bit skimpy on the fries). Three of us had beef ribs that while a tad tough were very satisfying.
