This restaurant overlooks wineries and open land. You can sit inside or outside on the deck. The menu offered is quite extensive. Tasting plates also feature. The food is presented at the highest standard. Wait staff are always friendly and very professional.

A really enjoyable night. The restaurant wasn't all that busy so we had more attention than you would otherwise expect. Food was great. We live locally so rather than call a taxi we even got offered a ride home. Hard to beat from any angle.

Four of us dined here on a Saturday night- Staff were very friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome. The outlook is beautiful and most of the tables in the restaurant enjoy the view. Menu has some great choices and my fellow diners enjoyed the pate (heavenly) and gnocchi -also really good. 2 main meals were wonderful but... More

Excellent wait staff but they were not too familiar with the newly launched autumn menu. Nevertheless, was very pleased with the level of service. The bug tail starter was delicious, as was the slow-cooked lamb shoulder and duck a l'orange. Big portion for the mains! Nevertheless, we made room for dessert, the deliciously tart passionfruit semifreddo with dark chocolate ganache... More

Went to Esca for dinner last night with my sisters and mother. We had a lovely experience! Food was delicious, though my lamb was a bit dry, would recommend the gnocchi! The wine list is extensive and the wait staff were fantastic! Would definitely recommend a trip to Esca for dinner!

We booked a table on a Saturday night for a post wedding dinner and were delighted with the fantastic food and very professional service. Great wine list, excellent views and a perfect finish to a weekend in the Hunter Valley.

The food at this restaurant is undesirable. The fresh produce, the attention to detail, the knowledge of the staff, and the breathtaking view is just a few words to describe ESCA. It's a definite must when visiting the hunter valley. If possible try the gnocchi absolutely outstanding

As a group booking we were on a restricted menu (3 choices per course @ $75 pp). The service and atmosphere were good but the food was rather underwhelming. Most disappointing was the main course. We were not given the choice to order sides so assumed we might at least have shared bowls of vegetables for the table. However, on... More
