My partner, my mum and myself came to this restaurant after being turned down from the pub down the road due to over booking. We aren't from the area and were hoping to get a decent sized meal before my partner and I competed in the brass band contest (LBBA). We were pleasantly surprised by the interior of the restaurant... We were a little disappointed with Mio overall. We asked for a gap between starters and main which failed to materialise. My wife had a seafood pasta which unfortunately was overcooked and inedible which seemed to go unnoticed by the staff. Otherwise our starters were good as was my pizza, although I struggled to eat it given it came too... More

I wanted to take my boyfriend for a romantic posh meal due to it being his 18th birthday and I wanted it to be special for him, after being to many restaurants before that what we thought would be quiet and romantic we were let down however mios made the evening perfect. They asked if we would like to request... More

Booked here to celebrate my graduation. It is a gem. It is far bigger than you imagine and has low beams and an old world charm. However, the conservatory area at the back is stone floored and very echoey and can be a nightmare if your hearing is not what it should be especially when there is a large, loud... More

Not bad food, just not exciting. Might be worth experiencing on one of their 'specials' nights but otherwise not worth the money. Table service not great anymore - you can feel the courtesy is 'forced' and they don't really want to be there.

Hi MetalMickey, Bland is a somewhat appropriate word to use as if perfectly suits your extremely vague and suspiciously dubious review of Mio. You give absolutely no constructive criticism or specific evaluation to any aspect of your alleged dining experience with us. You claim your food was bland but fail to mention what food you ordered and that if this... More

Just enjoyed a lovely meal with my sisters in Mio in Quorn. We enjoyed the chilled Gavi wine, being a Chardonnay drinker I actually preferred this Italian white wine. My sister and I had the lamb noisette ( three slices of lamb) with sweet potato and carrot croquettes and red onion and creamed leeks with a jus...served with vegetables ..... More

First time we have been here and we were impressed...Great staff who, even though they were very young, were great with the customers...we shared a beautiful starter of spicy sausage with breads, dips....amazing, then on to a seafood pasta and my husband had a calzone....again couldn't fault it...pudding was limoncello with meringues and ice cream...again sooo tasty....we also received complimentary... Called in for lunch and decided after looking at the menu that we would have our main meal of the day here so chose starters and mains. They were all delicious and different. My vegetarian mains was amazing not only in taste but the look of it too!! Will certainly be recommending to vegetarian friends I know. The chef here... More
