The coffee here is really good and they've got a great outdoor area - and the service is mostly good. The food is average, enough for me to come back but nothing to rave about. however this most recent time I went for breakfast with my partner and i had the huevos rancheros. Yowza, that was a mistake. I didn't... More

We had dinner here with a group of friends on a very busy evening. The staff were helpful and our food arrived promptly and with no fuss and everyone enjoyed their meal. Halo Café is one street back from the waterfront in Queenstown so walking distance from any accommodation around the CBD. Highly recommended

This cafe was across the street from our hotel so we just happened upon it the first morning we arrived. We loved our breakfast so much (eggs on toast), that we returned here every morning we we were in Queenstown! Food was great, nice ambiance (sat outside one warm morning) and we particularly liked the servers, who were very friendly.

We had lunch here today, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu had some great choices but we went for the chefs special which was pulled chicken with apple and coconut served in a tortilla basket with a red pepper and pecan salad. It was delicious! We had a beer each with it and it came to $60... More

We were staying nearby and I decided to try this place for breakfast. It was a good choice! I had eggs, toast, bacon and a great cup of coffee. Good service.

I'll start off, the staff were very lovely. Really attentive and happy. The food also was very good and the restaurant itself was well presented. However, it cost us over $100 bucks for breakfast! Absolutely ridiculous! Then the cheek to add a service charge for a bank holiday!!! You would get more people coming if you didn't add the charge... More

Fantastic Tom that you liked everything about our restaurant Staff , food , decor etc. We do try to get things right at Halo and after 10 years at Halo it is good to know that these things are still going well. With regards to the holiday surcharge it is quite clearly advertised on the menus and we have signage... More
