First night in Queenstown and we stumbled across this bar. I would have liked some sushi but the ramen was lovely. $12 for an normal sized bowl. The meat and noodles were nice. The hard boiled egg was brown so I didn't eat it. There is a Limited menu. Lots to look at. Cool to sit at the bar and... More

Food is average and overpriced. Drinks are fun and interactive with the sake bombs. Had a group of 7 and the bill was padded with a bunch of additional items that we didn't order. Almost every line item had an additional item ordered and sometimes two. Looked too odd to be a mistake. They corrected it but beware if you... More

I went in for lunch and got the miso chashu ramen. It looked small and quite sparse (only spring onion topping the noodles, none of the usual accompaniments such as bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, or boiled egg etc) but the tasty soup base gave me hope. The first bite dashed those hopes when my mouth was greeted with cold pork!... More

Authentic feel Izakaya, which I did not expect in Queenstown. While this is not a cheap place the atmosphere and service are second to none. Staff are friendly in typical Japanese fashion and the beer/spirits knowledge is good with a broad range to select from. Food is also good, though you really go to an Izakaya to drink and nibble... This place is hard to find so look for directions on good maps. It's a small place but with great vibes, a nice verity of japanese beverages and food. They don't have a large range of sushi so if you that's what you're looking for don't bother.

The food was ok, good sashimi. Don't be fooled by the small prices, you only get small portions here too.

Staff were friendly, helpful & we had the best time. The food was awesome , fresh, quick & tasty. If you've never tried it you have to do a saki bomb. Staff will explain what to do. Great fun and can't wait to go back.

If your after yakitori, this ticks all the boxes. If you haven't tried it, this place will look after you. The perfect way to refuel after a days skiing. Highly recommend. Sit at the bar and have the craic with the staff!
