Lovely friendly staff but food dissapointing with oysters costing 48 dollars a dozen and far too old but the staff tried very hard to appease taking 11 dollars off the 150 dollar account. Expect pub food at restaurant prices.

We went to the saucy chef as they have a great eclectic menu, featuring beefalo (x beef & bison) goat & hare dishes. I wanted to try the beefalo as read in the write up it had been voted one of america's top steaks. Dinner...More

Pity there's nothing between average and very good. Our service was excellent - attentive and friendly. We enjoyed a shared entree of sweetbreads and ordered mains of hare and duck The hare was faultless - tender tasty and served with a great risotto. The duck...More

Visiting Invercargill & friends suggested dining here. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, even though they were in the middle of an extremely busy night.

Is this a children friendly place to eat. I am arriving on the 6 April for my grand daughter's 15th birthday. There will be a party of around 10 people for dinner about 7pm. Is there a dress code, and can you accommodate us. In the party there will be two little boys aged 5 and 6.
