We were there before 5pm, wanted to try Lunch Special which is till 5pm but the chef did not want to do it so we had something on the normal menu instead. I had Yakiniku Beef bento and my boy friend had Grilled Fish bento, they were both very disappointing. Being a big fan of Japanese food, we were so... More

We came in as a family of 3. Service was terrible. We ordered katsu curry, udon noodle and the teriyaki chicken. The broccoli was over cooked and over salted. My partners curry bland. But the waiter was rude and didn't seem to to engage (a bit like Basil Fawlty) Wouldn't be returning.

This is a very small unpretentious restaurant, just beautiful food, very helpful staff, good prices and don't understand why it is not packed out. Will certainly go there again if we get a chance. Anyone visiting Dunedin must check this out.

You'll pass by and think it used to be a good restaurant and now they turned it into a Japanse place. But you'll have the best sushi ever. They're friendly, you have to order at the bar en pick your drink yourself out of the fridge. My table was a bit sticky. But when I good my food everything was... More

Agadashi tofu is our reference dish when dining at a Japanese restaurant - the fry on the skin on the tofu, the texture and flavour of the tentsuyu and the choice of garnish - it speaks volumes about the chef and the philosophy of the restaurant. We were immediately impressed with the light crunch on the skin and the depth... More

Fresh sushi, beautiful yakisoba and agedashi tofu were just amazing. The sushi was made by order and agedashi tofu had the best texture. We will definitely try the banquet next time

Tried to order a set menu for two and wanted to substitute salad with equal value. Was not possible! We ordered something of a lesser value instead. The portions were small, it was not enough (none of us three is a big eater!), fish was substituted with chicken without announcement! Service did not come back to table to check, we... More

I popped in for lunch, enjoyed it so much I returned the next day. Teriyaki chicken the visit, which was very nice, but the next day had the chicken karage and green salad, with a side of deep fried tofu. Had four large pieces of thigh meat perfectly cooked with a nice oyster / mayonnaise sauce. Really enjoyable. The tofu... More

The food is not bad, but their service makes me feel unwelcome. I was uncomfortable in every minute I ate my lunch in this restaurant. I don't recommend it if you expect a happy atmosphere.

Nice little Japanese restaurant. Quick service and good food at great prices. Thoroughly enjoyed Japanese cocktails range. Would return and recommend to anyone looking for a hassle free Japanese dining experience.
