Have enjoyed many a morning coffee here with lovely staff. Have had salads and delicious chicken rolls. Most interesting was the Asian pork and cabbage loaded fries crispy, sweet, salty, crunchy a flavour explosion. Really enjoyed it.

We ordered two eggs benedict's and two coffees, they both arrived within 5-7mins. Everything was delicious and the location is very handy in town.

We love Spoon&Paddle! I had the pulled lamb shoulder and my husband had the slow braised beef cheeks... both were nourishing and super delicious! Great coffee, beautiful food and lovely service.

Situated just outside of the busy town center Spoon & Paddle is a delightful Cafe in Taupo to spend an hour or so. Sheltered and warm in winter and an outside grassy area in summer, just right. A small playground for the young ones is...More

Perfect experience had here. Excellent food (the eggs benny!) and coffee, great service, loads of activities/play areas for kids inside and out. Couldn't fault it.

This cafe has great food. Whatever we've had it's always been nice, tasty and very good quality food. It would be good if they could increase the vegan options but they are very helpful if asked exactly what's in the meals. Being slightly out of...More

Thanks so much for the great TripAdvisor review. As you mention Spoon and Paddle is fairly small and our kitchen is even tinier! With that said we strive to cater to everyone's needs so if you want something else that's vegan we're always happy to...More

Lonely Planet says: Filling a spacious and airy 1950s house with colourful decor, Spoon & Paddle is more evidence you'll find great cafes pretty well anywhere in NZ. Excellent coffee partners with a concise beer and wine list, and the energetic and youthful owners focus on delivering dishes like tasty lamb shoulder tortillas, and just maybe the country's best eggs Benedict. A mini-fort in the garden will get the kids exploring, while Mum and Dad tuck into mid-afternoon treats like macaroons or lemon meringue pie
