I've decided that even though Musashi has some of the best Japanese food, I'm just over them rushing us out. I am such a regular but am not seen as a valued customer so will not be supporting their business from now on sadly. This last time I had a big booking, they were asking us for dessert orders before... More

BYO is always a goodie, the food here was absolutely delicious. The menu is huge, and everything we had was delicious, and the service was great, lots of staff who were polite and very attentive. We ordered the tuna sashimi which was really fresh, the pork goyza was cooked on the table which was a bit fun, and a prawn... More

The restaurant is not situated in a famous place, but you have to stop there. The food is just excellent and the staff very friendly.

We are fairly regular diners at Musashi - we also went regularly in its earlier reincarnation Eiji's. Over the years it has pretty much maintained its atmosphere and quality. The menu has changed over the years while still offering the Kiwi favourites in various guises. Teriyaki chicken anyone?! The teenagers were suddenly out for the evening so the wife (who... More

Wow! This is amazing place to visit. The food was devine & service was good too. We had a selection of starters to share with our table. Great idea to taste a few options. Our mains were amazing too. Great food & great value. The restaurant is a bit small but still enjoyable dining. Seeing Josh Emmett dining there said... More

Great food. Particularly loved the salad with its subtle sesame dressing. The staff are knowledgeable, attentive, friendly. The only problem: serving dishes together to our small party. A gap of five minutes between some being served and the others receiving their food is, frankly, unacceptable. No excuses. It was early evening and the restaurant not busy. Sorry, guys, you'll have... More

Yes it can feel like a crowded space and yes you should book ahead, but to me that is a good indicator of how good the restaurant is and negates any inconvenience. The staff are lovely, attentive and good at helping to decide how much food to order. The food is so fresh and tasty with unique touches - the... More
