I couldn't score 2.5 so went for 3 in good faith. Came for dinner with a voucher for the 9 course degustation, so we thought we were off to a good start... sadly no. The food would pass as average at best, except for the duck which we thought was above. The balance was way off throughout and the first... More

I thought the restaurant itself had a pretty dull atmosphere. They need to put some art or colour on the walls. The staff were ok but not over the top friendly or helpful. The food on the hand was absolutely to die for. Every dish was presented beautifully and every mouthful just melted in your mouth. They obviously have some... More

Took a Friday out of the office and since my wife wasn't working too, we would do something a little low key and different to celebrate a milestone. In the morning parked up at Okahu Bay and walked into town to the viaduct. Sunny windless day and a few joggers and cyclists sharing the pavement. Found a place to buy... More

Went for lunch as I remember how great it once was, but unfortunately was dissapointed. The beans were so over microwave reheated they just tasted burnt and boring. The restaurant looked dated and empty. It's a shame as I'm sure loads of past clientele would try it due to past experiences

1 hour to serve 1 course of a degustation menu? Very disappointing . Service was haphazard including lots of wine being spilt. We were part of a large group but they seemed very under prepared with no idea how to deal with a big booking

First time we came here it was excellent - regrettably it has deteriorated significantly. Food ranged from very good to ok, however, the service was random as hell. I narrowly missed having a glass of wine dumped in my lap. Rest of the time we are largely ignored so eventually we gave up and left. There are too many fine... More

Over the years I have experienced many degustation meals but nothing at the level of the 9 course tasting plate course that my wife and I have just experienced. Every course was perfectly balance and complimented the corresponding course. The service was impeccable , while they provide a option to have matching wines we chose to go it alone with... More

We were looking for a snack and some wine before walking back to Auckland from the museum. I understand the $13 per glass Duck Point Sauv Blanc and the pate board to share for $35 but the board came with about 8 pieces of toast which was clearly not enough for the pate on the board. When I asked for... More

We were given the 9 course grab one degustation menu as a gift. It was a fabulous meal and my partner executive chef/consultant was delighted with both the presentation, taste, wait time between courses and waiting staff, we couldn't fault them everything was top notch. The plum sorbet extra was really beautiful so clean and crisp just the thing before... More

We were given a Grab one 9 course degustation dinner for two, for Christmas. I chose the vegetarian option and my husband had the normal one. The standout dishes for me were the pea risotto and chocolate dessert. My husband loved the fish, lamb and beef. The food looked stunning and tasted great, but there was just too much! (what...
