Located in the Scenic Auckland Hotel, this little café serves a very nice dinner in addition to their ample breakfast buffet. For dinner, my husband had fish and chips that were delicious and I had the salmon that was equally as good. The desserts didn't disappoint either....my crème brulee was yummy as was my husband's chocolate cake and ice cream.... More

We stayed in the Scenic hotel which is directly attached to the cafe bar and had coffee in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning. The service was good and very friendly and the food was of good quality. However we did feel that it was a bit expensive, especially for the hot buffet breakfast. On our second visit we... More

We arrived in Auckland on an early flight and while waiting for our apartment to become available we needed a hot drink and something to eat. Parked on the side road next to the cafe and surprised meter parking was charged on Sundays as that's not what we'd read - asked one of the staff and he confirmed it was... More

Again tired as the rest of the hotel, the staff are willing yet obviously need some guidance. The ambience is destroyed by the scaffolding blocking the windows.

As we stayed at the hotel, we thought we'd try this tied cafe for breakfast. I thought its pricing was disappointing, one price continental, another for full buffet plus add-ons for cappuccino etc. not splendid value, surprised by the limited choice in decor and surrounds which looked tired.

This is the bar and restaurant attached to the Scenic Hotel in Auckland. We used it for drinks at the end of the evening on a couple of nights. Very quiet. No atmosphere. " TV screens in the bar showing different programes - very disconcerting. Beers on offer were good although some promotions were very expensive.

This hotel services the above hotel (scenic hotel) and offers buffet breakfast for those guests. It also has an a la carte menu. For auckland however the food is below average. Your standard big breakfast is the usual and menu dishes are also standard without any fancy extras like avocado or feta etc or creative dishes. Being vegan and with... More

I recommend the salmon bagel for breakfast, the steak for dinner and the cocoa cake for dessert. Nice.

Queen Street in Auckland is full of food places and it is a little daunting for a group to find something you all like. We visited MLC as I had stayed there a couple of years before and I thought it might meet the expectations of the group I was travelling with. They offered two menu choices, a set price... More

Ducked in for a quick meal after a show at the Town Hall. $30 for 2 courses from a set menu I think between 5pm and 7pm. There was also Happy Hour prices on drinks. Reasonable variety in the menu, this cafe is attached to a hotel and they will also give you a wifi code to use if you... More
