As a Greek I want authentic Greek food and you are sure to get it at Dion. I have been there about 10 times now and it never fails to impress. The food is very tasty and there is a large selection. The atmosphere of the restaurant is comfortable and it is spacious. The service is friendly. I always recommend... More

We stumbled across this restaurant after walking around Melbourne for a bit. A very traditional restaurant with even a bit of dancing greek style of course. The food was lovely but the wait was a little long for our liking. Other than that it had a great feel to it nice atmosphere. Prices were ok as well.

Had a delicious meal here recently. The food was great. We had the dips for starters and main course. Cocktails took 45 min to arrive! Beer and wine no problem. The Red house wine was delicious.

Wonderful meal out at Dion. We chose the most popular special banquet for 2, yummy yummy. Then a shared galaktabourikos (very posh cuistard square)

This is the second visit to Dion. The food was just as good as the first time. We always choose from the traditional , what mama used to cook, part of the menu. This time the lamb cooked in lemon and the stuffed vegetables.

Had 2 meals here during a 5 day stay in Melbourne. Quite authentic Greek food. Loved the lamb souvlaki. Reasonably priced drinks too.

Thank Christina H

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
