From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we felt relaxed and at ease. It was like being in the flashiest hotel room where it was beautifully appointed but comfortable. We start d with two unique and fantastic cocktails. The food was delightful and delicious....More

We visited on our 10th wedding anniversary, and it didn't disappoint. The place is like a 1950s Athens airport lounge. A little cramped, but the service was excellent and the food was unlike anything else, especially the first course, an Australian/Greek themed entree complete with...More

We went last night for my birthday. We did the 8 course degustation with matching wines. The food was amazing, and unlike the other restaurants it was not loud at all. I would highly recommend this place for a special intimate dinner.

The house cocktail is a homemade liquor from the sap of a tree similar to a pine, served over a cardamom ice cube. The breads were donut holes and pitas, served with roe, feta and tomatillo spreads. The apps were octopus with a fava bean...More

Stopped by for lunch course. One thing that stood out - the staff. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. Great work! Great food, decent portions, exciting menu at fair prices. Will definitely be back.

Have had both the two course luncheon and the six course degustation lunch at this venue. Loved the experience and the food, felt like being on MasterChef.

We went to the Press Club to celebrate a special occasion - daughter's 21st - and were superbly looked after, from individual dietary preferences (2x veggie, 1 x not keen on goat's cheese) to the guided wine tour. The food was fabulous - although in...More

Simply stunning. The service is impeccable. The decor warm and cosy. The food is on another level. It's a journey, so I suggest the whole 9 yards or 8 courses with wine matching to really understand the man behind this gem.

George Calombaris' flagship Melbourne restaurant for MAdE Establishment has cemented itself on the global dining scene with its unique Modern Greek cuisine. In October 2006, the four directors joined together to form MAdE Establishment, and opened their first venue, The Press Club Restaurant and Bar. This began a new era for George Calombaris and cemented his place as a culinary star for his Modern Greek Cuisine - never seen before Melbourne; where modern twists to traditional Greek cuisine has put this restaurant on the global map and has diner's wanting more. The Press Club seats 38 guests in individual booths. Next door to The Press Club at 52 Flinders Street, is Press Club - Projects, George Calombaris' creative and development kitchen. This space can be booked privately for up to 8 guests and offers a completely interactive experience as the chefs experiment with new dishes to make the menu in The Press Club.
