Glad we found this place, we wanted something cheap and cheerful that wasn't a panini. We had the standard Nasi Lemak and the crispy anchovies set off the coconut rice perfectly.

Tasted the best Chicken And Calamari Nasi Lemak over here with family. Fully recommended to anyone who missed hometown Nasi Lemak when travel to Melbourne.

Disgusting. Cold, all noodles, practically no meat or seafood, the prawn I.did get came with a long intestinal tract I pulled out of my mouth like spaghetti

If you are serious about Nasi Lemak then you need to come here. We came here four years ago and after the change of owners the food hasn't changed much... Luckily. Well at least the Nasi Lemak. Which is good. Maybe they could have added a full egg and Kangkung (watercress). We also ordered mee goreng and char koey teow.... More

Ok so I'm not Malaysian but I do love their food. I had the chicken curry nasi lemak with kerabu. I had made this at home with a spicier sambal but that took me 2 hours-this was out within 10 minutes. It was fresh, tasty with crisp anchovies and a good coconut flavour to the rice. It is busy being... More

The nasi lemak was very mediocre and wasnt full of flavour. The laksa however was very disappointing as it wasn't authentic and the gravy tasted like something out of the box. Overall, since it is a stall away from home, we can't be too fussy but just enough to satisfy your cravings.

famished, i stopped by for a quick lunch. i haven't been here for a very long time and was very disappointed. nasi lemak here used to be very rich and full of flavour with coconut cream coating each rice grain, but now except for the sambal, i found it tasted very average.

Personally I love the food. I had Nasi Lemak and the taste is good and the portion is generous as well. The shop is located in Carlton St its about 10min walking distances from Lincoln Square.

I still remember the Nasi Lemak and the pulled tea. This is street hawker food straight from KL on our doorstep in Carlton. Best value Asian restaurant in Carlton. Then head down the road for Durian ice cream ; ) Yeah baby

Me and my husband first time order from menulog for this restaurant, I'm so disappointed how we received the amount of the food for 2 people its actually for 1 person for the price $42. If outside today not cold, we will not order online. The taste is average. You call coconut rice, the taste is normal no coconut taste there.

Staying in Lygon Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Lygon Street
If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who started their day with a local espresso. They are gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this Little Italy which has something for everyone. Starched white tablecloths, candles, pizza the way they do it "back home" and maybe even a bit of amore. The number of gelato choices will leave you in a state of indecision and wide footpaths, big awnings and a sea of packed tables makes this al fresco dining experience a continental buzz. Even if you’re not eating, it’s worth the stroll just for the people-watching, which, of course, is an Italian tradition.
