My son and I have been regular guests of this wonderful restaurant for over 5 years, we have always had experiences that are first rate. The food quality, menu range and value cannot be beaten for Nepalese and Indian Food. The staff are wonderful and Monica deserves a special thank you for conisistent excellent service.

We eat a lot of Indian food back home in England so we think we know a good curry when we have one. We’ve often been disappointed with the Indian restaurants in Australia when we’ve visited before but this one in Flinders Lane was definitely the best curry we’ve had in Australia.
It was quiet when we arrived but it soon filled up. We had some lovely crisp poppadoms with a tamarind dip and moved on to the Tipsy Chick and the Chicken Saag Wala. We also had one portion of coconut rice which was more than enough for both of us and a garlic naan which was the only minor disappointment as it was a little thin and crispy rather than fluffy and doughy.
Both dishes were perfectly spiced (they asked how we wanted them while ordering) and not bland like we’ve often had before.
We also had a nice cold bottle of Pinot Grigio, all served by very friendly and helpful staff.
It was a lovely meal and very reasonably priced, roughly the same as we’d expect to pay at home which you can’t say about many restaurants in Australia!

We have visited many indian restaurants within Melbourne in an attempt to try and find something comparable to what we would find in the UK, and for a long time we thought we wouldn't find anything... until we visited Aagaman! It is by far one of the best, and not only is the food delicious but the staff are extremely friendly. I'm not typically a dessert fan, and never go to an indian restaurant with the thought of having a dessert, but I must admit the chocolate filled samosa's are pretty delicious. Highly recommend!

We have been eating at Aagaman for the last few years. The food and service here has always been exceptional. We mostly get take away and consistently the same thing. Unfortunately we broke with tradition and ordered from the Flinders Lane Aagaman as we wanted delivery. Won't be doing either of those things again. The order was messed up and we only received half our food. When we called them the guy tried to blame uber however, the order from that end was correct and it had been messed up at the restaurant. We then had to re order what they had forgotten as there were 'no driver available' who could deliver to us unless we ordered again. We finally sat down to dinner over an hour late which would have been acceptable-however the butter chicken turned out to be largely inedible. It tasted like someone had accidentally tipped half a vat of salt into it needless to say that after a few mouthfuls we couldn't eat it. Everything else we had was good, however, the over salted butter chicken, on top of the restaurant order mistake was too much. As they say in AFL, its ok to make one mistake, just don't make two. If I were the owners and staff at Aagaman in Port Melbourne I would be disappointed in the Flinders lane team as they obvioulsy need a good kick in teh backside and told to lift their game and their attitude.

Without a doubt the best Indian / Nepalese restaurant in Port Phillip. I have tried every Indian restaurant in the area and once I found this I will never order anywhere else. It’s so refreshing to have food that is made with love and pride and so much flavour. Great portions and reasonable prices.
The lamb saag Wala is absolutely amazing and the entree Pani Puri is a must try. They also do a great goat curry. All I can say is do yourself a favour and try it. You can thank me later🙂

Today we ate at the new location on Flinders Street.
The food is fantastic! Very tasty naan, momo and of course a curry. The curry masala with lamb was delicious. Just the right amount of spiciness, well seasoned and the meat fell apart, it was so beautifully tender.
Service was extremely friendly and helpful.
If I could mention a downside, two toilets are recommended, not a must.

From the welcoming start by the staff, it was hoped that the food experience was a match. And that it was. We had the Wonders of Momos dumplings accompanied by mains Gurkhali Chilli Chicken and Himilayan Goat Curry. Yum! The garlic Naan was something to die for. Worth the visit for exceptional service and taste.

Since visiting Nepal we love the food from the area, especially momos so very happy to find this spot for a take out dinner at home. Chicken momos didn’t disappoint and their tomato chutney has a nice kick to it. Also had the chicken vindaloo nice and tender; pumpkin masala a touch grainy but good flavor and finally the stuffed naan with bits and raisins which was really good. Nice sized portions for a good price. Enjoyed it!

Great food but sadly all a bit rushed to get us out.
Food tasty but waiting staff clearing tables round us and made us feel under pressure to finish up. Way too expensive to down our food given the price.
Slow it down ladies as I told them at the time.

I absolutely love this place. Having moved to Melbourne 7 years ago I had to seek out my fave Indian and Aagaman wins by a mile. I first went with my sister to try it when it opened and realised I’d struck gold - have been back many times. You get what you pay for, and its worth it!

Two of us dined at Aagaman, Flinders Lane, last night.
A very nicely furnished restaurant with friendly, helpful staff.
The food - a selection of Indian and Nepalese dishes - was brilliant. As fine as any we have experienced in Australia.
Highly recommended for anyone wishing to savour high class Indian/Nepalese food.

Not happy with their drinks knowledge, utterly disappointed. Have a basic offer if you are going to do basic things, costly cocktails aren’t the way to go with non training of staff

The first thing I noticed was the predominance of Indian customers, always a good sign at an Indian restaurant. I had Beef vindaloo 'hot' (I grew up with hot chillies with most meals so my 'medium' is Australian 'how-can-you-eat-that') saffron rice, raita, mango pickle and a garden salad. I haven't had a bad vindaloo yet but it was the little things that made this meal special. The flavours were spot on and the beef was extremely tender. At first I thought it was disappointingly a 'medium' but by the end of the meal I was glad it wasn't any hotter. Cudos to the chef for nailing 'hot' perfectly. There was enough raita! I usually have to ask for more. And the garden salad had enough red onion for once, and more importantly it was properly salted, unlike most garden salads which have little or no salt and I have to ask and add. And to top it all off, the staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and attentive. All in all a delicious enjoyable dining experience.
