We have visited this establishment many times over many years before this visit. Unfortunately our dinner this time just didn't work. Flower Drum is not an inexpensive venue and so a key expectation is that the dining experience will be special for the high price...More

Spacious, serene dining rooms with attentive service which is unobtrusive and unhurried. Beautiful food and good choice on luncheon tasting menu - choice of 2,3, or 4 courses. Considering the upmarket style and ambience of the restaurant, the wine list is reasonably priced. One of...More

We booked for a special occasion dinner and it did feel special. The service feels very personal and the food is top quality. Not great value but that's not the motivation for going. Minimum $100 pp. Peking duck is yummy - super crisp skin and...More

Flower Drum has been an institution in Melbourne for a good 30 years if not longer and it still impresses. You will certainly come away with a dent in your wallet though it is worth for the quality of food, brilliant service and fabulous wine...More

Good food, however very overpriced for what it was. Alcohol was very expensive. Wait staff were attentive , explaining each course as it came out. Long wait between each course. Book well in advance. Overall a disappointing experience, I think thre are better options locally.

The flower drum just keeps on delivering its premium service and exquisite food. Had the 3 course lunch banquet. The toffee apples were not listed on the banquet for desert but they were happy to substitute. Still the best Chinese cuisine in Melbourne.

Yesterday, the day after Anzac Day a group of five mates enjoyed one of the best relaxing lunches in a dreary Melbourne Wednesday. The Flower Drum entrance belies what is inside. A basic red door opens to a small reception foyer. You enter a lift...More

Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place
to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place
simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude

Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes
such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your
