Ducked in here for a yum cha breakfast, the place does a decent yum cha without anything special. For the price you pay here you'll get better for less up the road.

Had lunch here with my wife. After a morning or walking and exploring this was a nice stop to relax and eat. We had the Yum Cha (better known in the US Dim Sum). It was a bit chaotic and the service a bit confusing, but the food was good and we had fun with the selection.

Great location in China town. Open late. Quick service. Meals were ok - your standard Chinese fare - nothing spectacular. Reasonably priced.

staying close by we went to China town and chose to try the Dragon Boat, they had a very good selection the waiters were quick and polite and explained the dishes we ordered. the mean was good and the waiting period was short even with a full house on Friday night. there was plenty of room so we weren't squashed... Took my family to the restaurant and it was a nice experience. the food was good, neat and well presented. Quick service and wait staff are well informed of the menus. Should you wish to have your dishes spicy, please ask them to make it very spicy as we had ordered for spicy and the dishes were on the sweeter... More

Came here last night for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately service was the worst I have ever experienced!!!! It took me 3 times to ask to order. Each time I got "yes I will be there in a minute"!! Or ok but never came. In the end I had to go to the payment counter and demanded someone come and take... More

Two of us had dinner there on Friday night. The service was very ordinary. Our dishes came out of kitchen in a random order. By the time I got my entrée my wife's food became cold. The food was terrible - marginally better than typical Chenees takeaway from a local food court. We spent $125 for two ppl. Terrible mistake,especially... More

Our group dropped into the Dragon Boat Restaurant for dinner after going to the football on a Friday night. The service was good but the food was poor. We have been to this restaurant a couple of times before. The food was served quickly but five out of the six dishes ordered were very bland. Disappointing this time round.

The food and service here is spectacular. You don't have to wait long to be seated or waited upon. Staff are extremely helpful. The food arrived very quickly and was tasty and fresh. I couldn't have picked a better place to dine for my birthday. I would definitely eat here again.

Was here with friends for dinner without a booking, was accommodated near the door so we asked to move which they obliged willingly. Menu is extensive. Food was lovely however the servings are not generous at all but rather small. Prices are a little higher than what you would expect for chinese. Nice atmosphere and service was good at the... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
