I last ate here about 10 years ago, back then it was busy and the food was memorable - nothing has changed - the place is still busy and the food is still wonderful. We enjoyed dinner there last night, I had the Pork belly and husband the lasagne - we enjoyed every mouthful, the suggested Rose wine for the... More

The true heart of Acland street beats at Cicciolinas..from the service, ambience to the quality of the fare it is a dining experience that conjures the true bohemian style of Acland Street despite its glitzy and showy refurbishment. Yes the seating is a little cosy but the staff are attentive and the cuisine is pure quality across the range of... More

Deservedly well known with a big reputation. Unfortunately they don't take bookings. There is a great bar at the back, known as The Back Bar where you can wait for a table or order bar food. The restaurant is extremely cosy & rather small. Since the Acland St improvements they've put a few tables outside & opened the front door.... More

Cicciolina is one of my favourite St Kilda Restaurants. It never fails to impress from the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the quality of the food and the wine. A recent get together for three ladies who love to lunch did not disappoint. Entree size is all that is needed at lunchtime, so choice of tortellini with feta, pine nuts... More

This is a tiny busy Italian family restaurant, the food is delicious, tasty, fresh and comforting. Perfect if you are in St Kilda and the weather turns bad (its quite capricious entre saison).

Fantastic lunch here today. Lovely space, sensational food and great service. Nothing much more you'd ever want to be honest. Entrees magnificent. Barramundi main truly wonderful. Hard to know what to highlight as every part was good. The fish itself, the cous cous, the asparagus, the mussels - etc, etc. wonderful wine list too. What a fabulous restaurant, and what... More

a modern take on italian cuisine with emphasis on seasonal produce, this place was highly recommended but what a let down! we shared brains wrapped in prosciutto served with sour cream which didn't work - salty prosciutto totally overpowered the delicate brain taste. we had homemade pasta with green prawns and white anchovies and again briny anchovies smothered the scrumptious... Staying in St. Kilda

Neighbourhood Profile
St. Kilda
St. Kilda is an iconic beachside suburb and one of the most culturally and economically diverse of Melbourne’s neighbourhoods. It is a traditional haven for musicians, artists and writers, drawn to the European ambience and fresh ocean breezes. At night, it can have an edgier side, but by day, it features a relaxed vibe – the market stalls, boutiques and outdoor bars display St. Kilda’s easygoing attitude. Ocean winds blow from Port Phillip Bay and waves lap onto its long and mostly deserted beaches. Rides whir at the world’s oldest operational Luna Park. On a lazy weekend morning, bikers cruise along Acland Street, showing off their motorcycles. But the late morning crowds are too busy at brunch to notice. St. Kilda is a perfect place to relax after a night out with friends.
