I have been coming here for years but tonight, I felt extremely disappointed. The tagines they used to serve were authentic and delicious. Tonight, I was shocked to find they just dish up some flavourless meat on some bland cous cous on a plate and...More

Rooftop bar is lovely and sheltered in winter. Restaurant didn't have many of the tagines in stock even though it wasn't late. But what they did have was very tasty.

Went for some friday night drinks and nibbles and ordered a heap of tapas style food, certainly didn't disappoint! Great cocktails and shisha too if you are in the mood for a sneaky bit of fun :)

Great little rooftop bar that does yummy expresso martinis. Bartenders are engaging and fun. The steps up to the bar help you work up a thirst!

We visited as a group for dinner. The decor is atmospheric and staff were polite. We were disappointed that on our visit the kitchen were out of lamb, one of the key dishes. The starter plates were quite stodgy and uninspiring and the mains were...More

I am currently checking out different cafes and bars in Melbourne, even though I've been working in town for years. What a fun find this one was. I went there at 12 and it only opens then so it wasn't yet busy but that suited...More

On a busy street, in the heart of the city, lost in a sea of street signs, you could easily miss the long flight of stairs leading up to Sahara - this would be a great shame. The street becomes an afterthought as you make...More

We had a great meal in a friendly atmosphere, would highly recommend the chicken kebab and the veggie tagine, both were full of flavour and came out quickly. It's a small entrance, up a set of stairs between two shops, but worth the effort to...More

Basically a middle eastern restaurant with a rooftop bar. Very limited selection of beers, and didn't really warm to the atmosphere. The decor is nice, but not really a place I'd visit too often. Can also rent shishka pipes.

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
