We walked into the pub on a Wednesday evening to find an Irish Folk Music jam in progress. Musicians would join and and play. In the end a lively group was playing. The selection of beers was decent.

The staff were not very friendly and when the food was served a few orders were incorrect. They ran out of some ingredients and didn’t say anything until we noticed and asked and then told us. Should have told us when they realised and asked if we wanted to change our order. The place is dirty and has a really... More

This small pup has the most amazing food and my husband said the best pint of Guinness. An impromptu group of musicians was just setting up and quietly jamming away. The best Irish music I have heard in a long time and not so intrusive that you could not talk. The best beef cheeks if you want to give them... More

I've been here for lunch. They have good prices for lunch -- something like 10 dollar for a main course. The quality is ok, nothing to die for. Not sure the quantity is the same as if you eat here for dinner -- the fish and chips seems to be more "light" at lunch. The service is basic, but friendly.

We were looking for someone interesting to have a drink after dinner and located this little Irish gem. As we walked in there was a circle of Irish musicians having a session, singing and playing multiple instruments. An old pub, which made you feel as though you had just stepped into Ireland. The staff were lovely and so were the... More

Bloody good food. Great bar staff. Nice cold cider on tap. Not far from the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

I visit the Last Jar every time I am in Melbourne. I love their friendly service, and the easy going atmosphere. There is a beer garden upstairs which is great and cosy. Prices are reasonable, and service is great. Love this place

We arrived at 13:10 hrs on a Friday and ordered lunch. The place was half full, but few had food yet. We were told a 25 minute wait was required, but it actually took 45 minutes. In the meantime we had some very nice wines. The meals were exceptional. My friend had a grilled chicken sandwich with chips for $10... More

In summary - no vegetarian options, two non vegetarian options, one dessert, no skim milk. Save yourself the disappointment - go somewhere else. PS apparently the business has been sold and they are keeping it running on the smell of an oily rag and the scraps from the back of the fridge
