Really love American BBQ. Frustrated at how expensive it is here, but love the flavours, and how it takes me back to my visits in Deep South USA. Visited Third Wave Cafe as a delayed birthday treat. Spent a bit ($125 - with a $25...More

I had my 4th visit to this place and I'm addicted! They have the best slow cooked American bbq ribs and brisket I've ever tasted. The sauces provided are also yummy. The sides are also a treat with the pancetta peas and glazed mushrooms. My...More

This place is expensive for what you get. If the food was a wow you probably wouldn't think much of it but what we had just was a bit lacking in taste and seasoning. We had a late lunch here - Green Eggs off the...More

We actually came across Third Wave by accident when we found our usual BBQ place was closed for lunch. It's a busy little place, so you need to think about booking, but we got lucky with a table. Great American style burgers, brisket, chicken with...More

We really enjoyed our brunch experience at third wave cafe. We ordered the spicy ratatouille baked eggs and chilli scrambled eggs which came with their speciality Oink balls. Both were delicious! So much so that we went back the very next day for lunch. I...More

Your food failed us. The mac and cheese tasted like the kraft pack you get out of the box. The meat was dried out and was feral. Even my 2 year old tried your food amd refused to eat it. She normally eats good food...More

Hi my name is Chloe Buhler and I am currently studying food and hospitality as a year 12 subject. I was wondering if you'd be able to answer a few questions to assist in my investigation on how American cuisine is impacting Australian restaurants. Feel free to skip any questions. 1. Would you consider your restaurant to be American style? (In terms of food, appearance, theme) 2. Do you believe your restaurant menu is influenced by American cuisine? (In terms of food items, flavours, presentations, ingredients, portion size) 3. If so, is there a particular part of America that has influenced you restaurant? 4. Would you consider it a positive or negative thing that some restaurant menus are influenced by American cuisine? 5. Do your customers leave mostly positive or negative reviews about your food? 6. What would you say customers appreciate the most about American style food? (In terms of taste, smell, portion size, presentation) 7. Would you/do you prefer American style food over other cultures? If so, why? 8. What type of foods that Australian restaurants sell, would you consider American style? 9. What about those items makes them American style? (In terms of taste, smell, portion size, presentation) 10. Do you believe the American theme will spread and grow throughout Australian restaurants? 11. If so, why? Thank you for taking the time to help me and I hope you have a great day!
