We decided to try this place because it looked was pretty busy so the food must be good given lots of locals were eating here, Right? Wrong! Food is average at best, the pasta dishes lacked flavour and were overcooked. The wait staff glared at...More

Thank you for an enjoyable evening. Service at Cafe Cavallino is superb the friendly staff will see that every guest is happy with the food. The gluten free bases are delicious, and I also had a risotto with no diary and it was utterly yumo....More

Went to my two friends and our kids (3 of them aged four), we were made to feel uncomfortable by the manager, like maybe we shouldn't leave the house without our husbands......Food was average.

We had a main, side and dessert each. It took a little while to get the food but it was worth the wait. Tasty not over the top and great portion sizes.

This restaurant is unmistakably Italian, the photos of Ferrari, the name "Cavallino" and featuring red in the furnishing makes this unmistakably authentic. The food ordered came out promptly and was good quality. The service was attentive without being over the top. The style of pizza...More

Lygon Street
If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated
over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the
place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to
the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who
started their day with a local espresso. They are
gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this
Little Italy which has something for everyone.
