The Red Silks Restaurant has great cocktails, good food, excellent service and very friendly and also has an outdoor area to dine and entertain your guests, family or friends. The Eggplant and Rice meal with Mandarin Pork Spare Ribs was extremely delicious. The Long Island Tea Cocktail was medium priced and very tasty. I love the place. Will definitely return.

The service was slow and the food was disgusting, tasteless and dry. The chicken didn't even look like chicken, the rice was cold and the sauce was awful.

Had dinner here. Had 3 vegan dishes, spinach with tofu, deep friend bean curd and a stirfry veg dish. Also had salt and pepper prawns. The prawns were delicious. Really yummy. The vegan meals were ok. I found the bean curd a bit bland. The stir fry veg dish needed a sauce with a bit more flavour too I thought.... More

Something different Asian infusion style - generous portions and flavours that say I'm coming back. Hard to get to and some cab drivers will spin you BULL that they don't know where - cause its right in CBD hook turn territory !But get ther cause its great

No way, it wasnt a fluke, the best chinese we have ever eaten One previous contributor said it was bland. Mate, your taste buds must be dead with too much chilli! Every chance we get to go to Melbourne CBD we will be back. Trying to think of excuses just so we can dine again. The outside deck is a must.(pity... More

This Chinese restaurant cook needs to taste their food. The fried noodles was simply bland in taste, with no imagination in presentation. The people who works there are actually friendly, and service was quick. The place looks so dark inside, the terrace is much better if it's nice weather. I would not come back to this place.

This large restaurant serves a nice wide variety of Asian cuisine along with a decent number of cocktails and other drinks. The food is delivered pretty quickly and the portions were huge (so much so we had to ask for a doggy bag). The only thing that lets the place down is the service. It was very hard to get... More

We went to the restaurant around 10.30pm with my friends , had food and asked for the bill straight after we finished. They did the last round of drinks around 11pm. We told them that we were fine and decided to leave. With my friend we needed to go to the bathroom first. The waitress came into the bathroom to... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
