Daily specials hard to choose what to select . We often select a couple of small plates to share then have one of the delectable deserts. Blood orange meringue tart with chocolate ice cream yum 😄🍷🥂

This is a lovely place for a diner. The small kitchen offers tasty little dishes for the limited number of guests who can be accommodated either at the bar in the shop or at the big table in the backroom. Or obviously outside. We passed for a glass of wine and added some cheese and followed the recommendation of the... More

My first time for a long time here. Interesting food menu on blackboards and lucky to get seat quite quickly. Big choice of wine which if you buy from wine shop you simply add $20 to drink there. We had cheese and nibbles which were OK without being special.

My tried and proven old faithful place to eat in the city. Love this place, have been many a time and everybody i've ever taken there has been impressed. I've tried most of the items on the menu but always return to the chicken schnitzel with italian coleslaw. It's just great value and a delicious meal. Was too full for... More

If you are looking for a relaxed but very interesting way to while away a few hours this place rocks. My beautiful wife and I headed back for our second visits recently. The staff (in particular Josh) were amazing ...... he is a champers encyclopaedia!!!. We sat at the bar which we find the most fun as u always meet... More

What can I say? This place is everything you want a great wine bar to be. Perfect atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable (yet not pushy) service, superb range of international wines (though still plenty of exciting local options), simple yet absolutely delicious bar food. The outdoor seating area is perfect for a morning coffee or a cheeky glass of champagne,... More

A bottle shop and deli for the sophisticated and discerning - the range is phenomenal but the experience of staff led me to what I was after quickly but with care to understand my request

The fish dish I ordered was tiny and took nearly half an hour to be prepared. Not a place to visit if you are hungry. A good selection of wine by the glass but the prices are on the high side. The staff seemed to know their wines. Unfortunately the place seems to be trying to extract every last cent... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
