Nice little place just a few minutes walk from the Esplanade. The food was tasty and the service was attentive but not overly so. Fantastic Pizza and Macaroni Cheese - really good. Probably not for young children.

The food at Hearth is exceptional. Delicately balanced flavours prepared by a master chef. We ate at several of the quality restaurants in Hobart but ended up going back there because it was sooooo good. The mall plates are very good, the pizza great, but never leave without eating the desserts. I recommend the raspberry with lavender meringue where you... More

Hearth is set in a house and therefore, has quite a cosy, warm atmosphere. I can imagine it would be fab in winter. Three of us opted to share 3 small plates and 2 pizzas which was plenty. We also each tried a dessert. The macaroni with truffle oil was heavenly and the cured salmon was excellent. Octopus was also... More

So we were staying around the corner and got lazy but the delightful service and food to match drew us back. Best pizzas, even teenagers happy. Mushroom and truffle pizza so good I wonder why nobody in Sydney makes it. Fine small dishes too, innovation and quality in every way.

We were staying opposite Hearth and read some good reviews so we thought we would give it a try. It proved to be a good decision We have the battered oysters with horseradish mayonnaise which were superb. Such wonderful flavours. Followed with a lovely prawn pizza. Nice service and a lovely little place.

This is something wonderful in Hobart that won't disappoint. Had some of the best oysters ever and a lovey scallops dish with kale which was brilliant. The pizza was also excellent with delicious simple toppings and the best gluten free base I've ever tasted!

As a pizza guy I figured I would be in the right place here, however it turned out that the Lamb Shanks were the winner. Also this was the start of our journey through the Pinot Noirs of the Bay of Fires region. Great service. A memorable dinner only slightly let down by an average coffee at the end.

Went to Hearth for the first time tonight, with friends and kids. Was excellent, great menu for adults that they easily adapted for kids. Lovec the ambience, good wine selection, service really good. Right next to Salamanca and much more pleasant than most Salamanca restaurants. Looking forward to the next visit!

Being a vegetarian and a Melbournian, people have the opinion I can be pretty choosy about food (and they also happen to be correct). However, credit where credit is due, this place has some delicious, interesting and unique pizzas! My favourite was the zucchini + artichoke one, however the mushroom and potato one was also a winner. The side dishes... More
