Michal is very rude and condescending. Went with a couple of friends at 3.45pm and there were many tables and we went to sit down and he stopped us and said "Do you work here", I said no, and he said why are you sitting...down? We only wanted a few drinks like we have many times before and he said you have to wait to be seated. No problem, but he got ruder and ruder, when we were leaving I wanted to talk to him about my disappointing experience and he said "I am the licensee, I choose who can come in" and then walked off, refusing to listen to what I had to say. I won't go back while Michal is there.More

I love the food and the beer! Staff are helpful and friendly. Great place to eat and relax. Easy to book reservations and I like the email confirmation and reminder. The place is near the garden and the old brewery wherein you can have a...tour. If keen, you can have a walk goin to the cascade female factory too for a bit of history.More

It was easy to book and I liked how I got sent a email to confirm my booking. I went with a group of 10 people. We spent a few hours there for a bucks afternoon. Food was great, service was great and the drinks...were great bad we had a bad experience with a staff member. About 2 hrs into our afternoon we asked the buck to get into his outfit which was a dress. He changed in the toilets and came out. Everyone around in the restaurant was quite amused but about 5 minutes later a staff member came over to our table and in an agressive voice said "get normal clothes on otherwise your out in 5 minutes" The staff member could of come over and said hey boys we don't allow dress up could you please get changed back into normal clothes otherwise you may have to leave. It left quite a sour taste in our mouths for our buck and guests and feel the situation could of been handled a completely different way. The day before I came and spoke to a staff member saying I was coming the next day with a buck and would dress up be allowed. His response was not a problem at all we get bucks parties all the time. I feel like there are some double standards. If anyone asked me I would say great for a visit but would also inform them off my bad experience.More

Both history and beer buffs will enjoy this tour. There's a lot of history, and at the end, a lot of beer. The grounds are worthy of a visit as well. Very pretty.

Such a beautiful spot to spend the day. Great food and drinks. The view is spectacular. If your from interstate and don’t have a car, catch a local bus from the city, it’s only 18 minutes away. The gardens are very pretty and today we...had a very clear view of Mt Wellington. Unfortunately for us there was no brewery or history tour today, if I wasn’t leaving tonight, I would definitely have booked a tour and returned over the weekend.More

Don’t like writing poor reviews but sometimes it has to be done in the hope management makes changes. Staff and setting was lovely but let down by the food. We had a burger, the Brisket, croquettes and a kids burger. The burger was dry and...patty tasted manufactured, the brisket was bland topped by oily onion rings the croquettes were flavourless and the kids burger was just awful. I’m sorry but it really was. The meat was dry over cooked and like a manufactured patty from the store. I know lots of people have written positive reviews so we were really surprised and disappointed.More

The brewery tour is available for guests over the age of 16. There is a family tour and play set in the 1830's about the lives of the family that foundered the brewery. The family tour runs Monday, Friday and Saturday at 2pm.
