This place was recommended to us by many people in Launceston. We were there earlyish during the week so didn't get to experience it all happening. Despite that the staff behind the bar were very informative about the great range of craft beers and other drinks available and the garden with bus bingo looks very interesting.

While drinking around Hobart Preachers was recommended as a good local pub, this proved to be so true. Away from the touristy habour front bars this little gem was great fun. A wonderful old home turned into a funky pub/bar/restaurant. The choice of beers and friendly service was fantastic. We didn't get to spend much time inside as the beer... More

Preachers is a laid back pub with a quirky beer garden, including a bus! There are good Tassie beers on tap.

When we approached the premises about 5:30pm, the yard was full of people and there was a queue at the bar. A couple of patrons had very friendly dogs with them and there was several young children playing in the yard. The old bus was an immediate attraction for the kids (young & old) and the dogs were welcomed by... More

Gorgeous. Love it. Will be back for vege burger. Younger crowd. I spy a meat smoker and pray that BBQ seshes happen here. Cool music. Funny, smart and charming bar staff who made us feel so right.

If the Tasmanian devil was a pub, it might be like preachers. Beer was cold. And some of the beer was cider! There's a bus but it doesn't go anywhere. Good food. Recommended

A Sunday afternoon session beckoned, so we headed for Salamanca to do a bit of a bar crawl before our Spiegeltent show. A few metres up from Salamanca is the site of another new apartment building being touted, and behind that is an old house with a garden bar, and a green bus. This is an unusual bar, as you... More

Relaxed place where you can sit outside, mainly young people there, decent (recorded ) music played in the background. The single decker bus parked in the restaurant yard ( used by people who want some shelter and extra space while eating ) adds a touch of quirkiness. Wine fine, inexpensive. The food quite simple eg salads , burgers ( inc... More

I tried a dark beer, Last Rites Mongo smoked porter from Tassie. It was as enjoyable as it was esoteric. Good selection of interesting beers on tap as well as unusual bottled treasures. Had a good vibe which was accentuated by the sunny afternoon on the Astroturf back yard beer garden. Just up the hill from Salamanca. Very trendy beer... More
