Fine dining no longer. The atmosphere reminded me of a cafeteria with a simple menu with poor quality food. Staff are lovely and tried hard to please. The view and setting is lovely but I was not impressed with my meal. I had a oysters...More

As part of the Science teachers conference, the Science breakfast was held in the Pier One restaurant. The food was excellent and atmosphere was very conversational. A great view of the rising Sun added to the ambiance. Food was served promptly and by well-trained staff.

My fiancé and I had dinner at pier one for my birthday. We sat outside on the pier and enjoyed the view immensely. Although it was busy the service was very friendly. The food was tasty and I was especially happy with my Chowder and...More

Great views of the Derwent River - worth going a bit early in summer to have the views during the full meal. Staff are very friendly and efficient. The menu doesn't seem to change often but overs a range of plates to suit all tastes....More

The view makes it worth a visit alone. Also, the staff were all outstanding-friendly and efficient. The kids meals were, as the kids said - the best ever! Pizza and fish & chips, looked and tasted great. Though I would note that the Hawaiian pizza...More

We dined as walk ins with no booking. We were given a nice enough table. Views were still good. Duck spring rolls and seafood chowder were superb. The beetroot salad was present really differently but was divine. Fresh oysters my husband enjoyed. Average pricing so...More

Visited on a Thursday night and wondered were we really at the casino. It was ghostly quiet. Made us nervous to eat at a place so empty. Entree was average but out mains were delish. Good service. Beautiful views. Can't understand why it was so...More

Booked a dinner for Thursday night to celebrate some work achievements. We had to ask for a drinks menu and then request to get served. We then needed to ask for meal menus and took forever to get served. The level of service was very...More

If you like fried everything, then Mures by all means. Personally I avoid that greasy spoon. Frying scallops.....very primitive cuisine....positively trogloditic. Have had nothing but good food and service at Pier One. Would... More

There’s waterfront dining, then there’s Pier One Restaurant. On a sunny day out on the deck, you could almost dip your toes in. This casual, bright Hobart restaurant is your place to sit with a chilled Tasmanian sparkling, good friends and delicate oysters. There’s something about dining in Hobart right by the water; interesting full flavour fare and an extensive wine list. Why not share something from the Light Menu - everything from local cheese plates to pizza. Pier One is Wrest Point Tasmania’s definition of relaxed dining by the water’s edge. Open from 11am daily until late. Lunch from 12pm Dinner from 6pm
