Not your usual quick nosh joint loaded with chips to fill you up, no this establishment is a welcome place of fine dining. Everything was done under the meticulous watchful eye of the matre di, was surprised that they accepted the entertainment card but it saved $70.00 of the bill of $364.00, good value. My wife is somewhat of a... More

Australias long standing fascination with and willingness to embrace its unique “bushfood” ingredients can be traced back to the arrival of the first European explorers and settlers. And still despite numerous fads and periods of popularity “bushfoods” have never managed to successfully make the leap into mainstream acceptance and usage within the restaurant industry or our daily diets. The mid... More

We took some Australian friends here for a special thank you dinner, and while the food was good (the entrees were outstanding, especially the brisket balls, but the mains were merely average), the service was so bad that the waiter actually came to apologize for how long our main courses were taking, and brought us free bread. But then when... More

Red Ochre describe their menu as ' Innvovative Australian Cuisine - Native Influence' with their philosophy being "..keep it simple, keep it flavoursome, keep it local and above all keep it fresh!" With SA having some of the best local produce Red Ochre Grill do a splendid job of cooking and serving to it's best advantage and certainly live up... More

Party of 7 including Japanese visitors. Entree of Crocodile, Emu and Kangaroo and all went down very well. Mains were more mainstream and enjoyed by all, well cooked, flavourful and well presented. Nice wine list with a bias towards South Australia products. Nice dining atmosphere with a great view.

Lovely views of the river & city. Service is always good, just the right amount of attention. Recent visit was for my birthday & I wanted a long, leisurely evening, so made this request on arrival & each course was well spaced out, just as I'd wanted. Usually we take overseas visitors there & they've never been disappointed.

Lovely place to dine with view of the river and adelaide city. Food was authentic. Recommend the entree tasting platter. The kangaroo main was delicious!

We came here for the first time as a pre-birthday treat and were not disappointed. I agree the decor and surroundings are quite 90's but the views are great and the service is good, though a bit formal for me. The meals were very good indeed, we both enjoyed the starter tasting plate which included indigenous ingredients. My main of... More

Red Ochre is on the top of our favourite list of dining in Adelaide and it is there because it never ever disappoints us. My birthday this year was no exception. We shared had the sharing plate entree - everything on it was totally delicious and we then had the mixed grill platter for two - included kangaroo, croc and... More

Tired environment. Needs a good make over. Friendly staff. Food didn't taste as good as it looked. Such a beautiful view and tourist destination that unfortunately didn't represent Adelaide well.
