The Pellegrini Cafe in North Adelaide proved to be a very good choice. We throughly enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.

We have found our new favourite eatery. We visit this place atleast once every three weeks, and have loved it every time. The barramundi when it is on the specials board is AMAZING. We have never had a bad meal yet.

Dropped in unexpectedly with a girlfriend. I ordered one of the daily specials - poached chicken with bacon through it, along with beautifully cooked fresh vegetables and small roast potatoes, and a tomato sauce with nuts in it - it was YUMMY!!!
Service was very efficient, place was lovely, clean and welcoming, and wait staff on the ball.....all in all, a surprisingly lovely meal! Well done guys! Keep it up!!

We enjoyed and delicious breakfast. The scrambled eggs with proscuto on top were delicious as was the chai latte. My partner voted the coffee and staff excellent, friendly and efficient.

We enjoyed a lovely meal and a couple of quiet drinks in this warm welcoming Cafe on a Wet Rainy night outside, and all within a short walking distance from where we were staying in North Adelaide.

Casual dining, open all day! Indoor and outdoor dining. Indoor can get loud as its only a fairly small dining room. Lovely meals and well priced, nice staff

Food and service is 5 star. The total package.
Coffee was amazing and even had the local paper to read. When we finished breakfast and were sitting talking another bottle of water arrived.
You have the choice of inside or outside dining.
Recommend you check it out. They do lunches as well!!!!

we have been to this cafe quite a few times It has always been very good The coffee is great herself orders normal coffee i always ask for extra hot so i can enjoy the coffee and conversation without drinking luke warm coffee The cakes are usually fresh unlike other cafes that have bricks in the cake showcase The restaurant is usually very clean with minimum crap left on tables We will always drop in for a break great job

My daughter and I were staying along OConnell Street for the week and first experienced Pellegrini Cafe for coffee and breakfast. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Menu has lots of options. We both had eggs benedict and smoked salmon, arrived promptly was a delicious and generous sized breakfast to send us off on our day.
We felt so welcomed we returned again the next day for lunch. Satay Lamb pizza was brilliant one of the best I have had in a long time and was no effort to offer a box to take away what we could not eat. Pizza was so good we bought another as last night take away which was just as good. Coffee was good, consistant each time we visited.
I also returned on my own one evening for a meal, stuffed chicken breast cooked to perfection served with lovely baby potatoes and vegetables. Definately a step up from your run of the mill counter meal but at less than pub prices. I will definately look forward to returning next visit and the coffee on us sealed the deal, a nice gesture of thanks for our return custom. Staff were also very helpful with directions and tourism advice.

Came here hoping to get a quick meal before heading over to see a movie at Piccadily Theatre across the road. We allowed an hour for our meal. We were promptly served our drinks after ordering at the counter. The restaurant has a choice of inside or outside dining.
We were very disappointed that quite a few people that arrived later than us had actually received their meals while we were still waiting. Time was marching on and we now only had 15minutes left before we had to depart. My husband had to query where our meal was with the waiter. Our meal came about 5 minutes after this.
Once the meal came it was delicious. But we had to eat quickly and not do the meal justice as we only had 10 minutes till departure.
I would come back and eat here again, but make sure you don't have another function to attend after the meal!

Very poor service and terrible meal. Ordered a basic blue stake and mushroom special with mash potato and it was just aweful, stake was cooked way over and was as rough as old leather served with lumpy mash potatoes with no flavour and the rest of the veggies on the plate were raw (beans, carrots and broccoli) very ordinary indeed! The young lady at the cash register was also quite rude. Also while we were there another lady demanded her money back after waiting for over an hour and left...

This restaurant is well placed being in busy O'Connell Street North Adelaide near accommodation and opposite a cinema . Indoor seemed noisy so we chose to sit outside . What a mistake the traffic noises and fumes were worse. Things went down hill from there. I ordered a Caesar Salad and was presented with a plate of cut up outer leaves of a lettuce complete with thick stems and hard dried pieces of chopped ham or maybe bacon, topped with a hard cooked egg . I told the waitress that it was the worst Caesar salad that I had ever been presented with and was met with a shrug of the shoulders. Though my husbands meal was reasonable ,it was served with a couple of baked potatoes that had the appearance of being left over from the last service. It was not at all a good experience.

Cafe Pellegrini Pizzeria is located near the northern end of O'Connell Street North Adelaide, right oppesite the picture theatre and has a large, mostly undercover outdoor dinning area right on the footpath in addition to the area inside.
A friend & I met there very regularly for coffee for several months last year as it was a mutually convienent spot for us and it's off the beaten track a little.
That and the fact that they serve good Lavazza coffee is all that I can find positive to say about the place. The service was always a bit hit-n-miss, sometimes the staff seemed OK, other times they were just way too bust talking to each other to really give a damn. It was this attitide and an experience on our last visit that has convinced me never to return.
If you want average, uninterested and ungreatful service for your hard earned dollars, go for your life. If you simply want a little respect and a positive vibe, look elsewhere. There are lots of optins.
