A lovely afternoon jaunt away from the crowds to a place that could be a million miles from anywhere. A lovely pot of tea, scones with jam and cream. It's so easy, the service is great and so is the quality of everything I have ever had. I'll be back, of course.

A pie has a pastry crust top and bottom? Right? Mine had a hard crust on top, no bottom, and the apples definitely came from a can. (Easy to tell). The 'pie' was barely warm. The food in general is less than memorable. We used to bring our visitors to the tea rooms but it's just no longer worth the... More

Hi Dragonrose1, Thanks for your feedback. As per our menu, our Apple Pie is not a traditional version - A slice of home made pastry crust filled with apple (yes from a tin), flavoured with cinnamon and topped with fresh whipped cream. We do not heat them, because they're topped with cream. However, some customers choose to have it served... More

Took wife and daughter up the Tea Rooms on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the surrounds were - sat outside, had a great mid morning lunch with coffee at a very reasonable cost - would highly recommend 😄

My girlfriend and i were invited to the tea rooms by our boss a few weeks ago. We'd never heard of the place before and as we are travelling thought it would be a great idea to see some of the local heritage. We turned up and the place looks great, a transformed old bar in to a quiet place... More

We took the long drive from hidden valley and were desperately in the need of a stop. We saw the tea houses and got some history as well. It is the oldest building in Queensland! Vegetarian breakfast was average. Coffee was strong and delicious. Scenery was beautiful. Worth a visit!

We always love visiting the tea rooms when we are in Townsville. The food and tea is delicious and the setting is so relaxing. The heritage building is lovely and there's a great farm walk to enjoy after your meal.

We always take family visitors for a trip up Hervey's Range to take a meal at the Heritage Tearooms particularly in warmer months because the temperature is always a few degrees cooler than in Townsville. There is an excellent choice of meals at reasonable prices to be enjoyed in the shaded garden area. Generally there is ample seating for a... More

We recently visited for breakfast and had a lovely enjoyable cup of tea and coffee with breakfast. Service was quick and friendly. The tea rooms quickly get busy we people coming far and wide. Some tables reserved well in advance but still room for those that pop in like we did. We enjoyed the short walk to view the old... More

This heritage cottage with its outdoor settings as well as indoor was all you could ask for in atmosphere. The food choices were wide enough to satisfy even our fussy eaters. Hot and tasty home-cooking served without too much waiting. Eating while being charmed by local birdlife including some rare species was fantastic. The road to it is in excellent... More

The drive to the tea rooms is very pleasant and parking is easy just out in front. The tea rooms have a very rustic feel and we were delighted to learn that the building is the oldest in FNQ. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning tea on the verandah. It was good value and delivered efficiently. Loved reading the history of... More
