For me being a Vegetarian it was very good....maybe be sure to book ahead and go on a week night if you don't like a lot of noise. Great feeling of a Greek Taverna and better then any other Greek Restaurant I have been to yet in Cairns Region!

Thought we would take kid's on a cultural experience by going here. It had the elements , belly dancing , plate smashing, but found the cuisine pretty straight forward and expensive for what you got for E.G. I had 2 lamb Kebabs just lamb on a stick small Greek salad and chips around $ 28 x that by 5 and... More

I think people have gotten the old Yannis that then was renamed Adelfia mixed up. Unfortunately both restaurants are now not in operation. There is no greek restaurant situated on Abbott street, its actually an Italian restaurant called Piccolos Trattoria. Yannis/Adelfia was situated on the corner of Grafton and Aplin Street. I'd also like to point out the picture above... More

Good, but not spectacular, Greek food. Try the sardines and the chicken livers-particularly good. Not great atmosphere, but a pleasant night all round.

Not sure how Greek the food is but was a lovely meal. Be prepared to pay the price for a restaurant that is not all that fancy.

4 of us had dinner at Yanni's on a Saturday night so it was very busy. The service was still good and the food was also to a good standard. Maybe it's because I lived in Cyprus for about 5 years that I am a bit picky when it comes to Greek food, but I thought it was a little... More

Love the food. Love the atmosphere. Regular belly dance entertainment! The owner often mingles with the customers - lovely man.

A nice and authentic Greek Taverna even down to the strange variability in the appearance and contents of the dishes compared to other Greek restaurants - I like the fact that you never get exactly the same moussaka twice when you visit different Greek places - it makes you realise that it is genuine homestyle cooking. Tasty, friendly and authentic.

Way too much salt used in the lamb casserole. Such a shame. Must have taken hours to prepare something completely inedible.
