We had dinner at this hotel as it was close to our accommodation. We ate outside which was OK although we could smell the smoke from the smoker's area. We all ordered something different and we were staggered when the meals came; they were huge. none of us could finish our meal and whilst we all enjoyed what we had... More

The Cock & Bull is not far from where we stayed so we had to call in for a quick ale ! Well the pub is a bit eclectic with many steps up and down and lots of rooms. Game fishing is the prevalent theme, multiple granders hang from the ceiling along with heaps of iconic fishing personalities in pics.... More

Stopped off for a local beer, price was very reasonable. The place was almost empty apart from some locals, maybe it was the time of year that attributed to it !!

Even if you are hungry these plates sizes are good for two people. I ate there 2 times out of the 4 nights I stayed there.Just excellent food for the money.

Great atmosphere. Great music playing in the background. When we walked in, we thought it would take forever to get out food as there were a number of people in there already, which in my mind tells me it's a popular place. There are two kitchens. One for the grilled side of the menu and the 2nd kitchen for the... More

Average pub food. The serves are truly huge but it can be a real turn off. The beer's icy cold, service is good and staff very friendly.. Would certainly return but would choose more carefully. Seating inside or out in courtyard. Away from the Esplanade.

We visited as a family of four. The meals here are HUGE so go hungry or order one fish between two. Having said that it's good value if you order one each, just a lot of waste we had chicken Kiev, chicken parmigiana, lasagne and fillet steak (no photo)
