Had breakfast here this morning while we were in Brisbane for the night; family of three. The breakfast menu is extensive (can be viewed on their website) and the coffee was above average. The nasi goreng was very good as was the Bircher muesli (photos attached). Lots of options for kids if you bring the family. Service was superb and... More
There is a lot of Coffee places around James St Fortitude Valley but this place stands out for great coffee, great service and lovely surroundings. The quality is excellent and the service professional and quick. It also has a killer Breakfast menu that offers something for everyone.
Chow House is my go to brunch/lunch venue in the James St area. I've visited a number of times and have always been impressed with the food and service. It was nearly 40'C the day we visited Chow House - We had been shopping up a storm & tramping the streets in the extreme heat when we stumbled across this little beauty. It was a girls day out & we decided to forgo the norm for lunch & have just cocktails & desserts. Well - we were so pleasantly... More
Asian delights and some innovative cocktails to match. Reminds me of the Asian eateries in Melbourne e.g. Chin Chin. Big meals and reasonably priced. Shared the Peking Duck Pancakes, Bao, Banh Xeo, Chicken Salad and Green Papaya Salad. Didn't share a Chilli Margarita and Honey Basil Martini. All devine.
Really happy with the food quality, and the portions were quite big so very satisfying and filling. Great selection of fresh refreshing juices too. Caters nicely for groups of all sizes and had a good range of options to choose from - we did check out other places and chose this one for us.
