We loved the decor and atmosphere and we enjoyed our 5 course degustation. The food was beautifully presented and delicious with complex delicate flavours. A nice mix and balance to the flow of courses. Unfortunately the servings were extremely small and we left feeling a touch unsatisfied.

We had the degustation menu at $135.00 each, plus wine.. Due to Covid,we couldn't take wine in and most of the menu had a wine at $90.00 to accompany the meal. The food was nice and well presented. One of the waitresses had trouble opening the wine and took the bottle away. We found it very expensive and very average. We had a private room,as a party of 8. Average and not for us.we paid $440.00 for two.

Exceptional! It was date night for us so we took the short dego with matching wines. The food could not be faulted - balanced, flavoursome and really interesting. The matched wines were well thought through and the combination represented great value. Thoroughly recommend.

They just updated their menu last week and quickly added 10%, so $410 for 7 course D'egustation with matching wine. Compared to others not worth the money. Nice place, well appointed, but the wait staff were pretentious and did not relat - extremely disappointing!. Give you a script of the plate a forced smile and off they go. We were never asked if we enjoyed anything. The first five wines were white, despite menu items that would be better matched with a red e.g.venison. All white wines were fruity/citrus; not to our liking. Only one Australian wine from 7. Have tasted many better European and Australian wines that would have better matched the menu.Got push back when questioned. They need to sack their wine advisory. Question if our feedback will have any effect, as they respond to the positive and disregard the negative; about 60/40 from our review. They need to be careful as there has been many Brisbane venues that have been popular and then wined into obscurity. Doubt they will take any notice while people are prepared to pay $$$$ 😜

The Bistro opens into an unexpected magical world when you go inside - the location is an old strip of shops on a busy main road (but there is parking on the side streets). The rooms are decorated well - but be careful of the walk upstairs to find the toilets. The food was different and delicious, with a variety of tastes and textures, and was expensive (but expected). The wait staff could have been better coordinated and informed. Was disappointed that the duck fat potatoes (one of only two hot side dishes on the menu) was unavailable the night we went. Would have thought it was a standard item.

My wife and I booked the 5 course Degustation Menu for a Thursday Night sitting and we were so impressed in everyway. The food was innovative and beautifully presented, the service was professional, friendly and knowledgeable and the restaurant ambience was intimate and cozy. Looking forward to returning.

The staff were all incredible who went out of their way to look after our table of eleven. They knew their menu well and suitable wines to accompany our meals. The dishes were well thought out, impeccably presented and tasted amazing. Our service team explained each dish upon serving which got us all excited to get stuck in. A thoroughly enjoyable 5 hours in a romantic setting. Well done and a massive thank you to the team.

Food was extremely bland. The staff asked each course if we enjoyed the food, we provided feedback with it was ok, they asked what we did and don’t like about it then we commented it was a bit bland. The 3rd course the waitress replied to us with well no other customers have complained. I went to the bathroom to find my husband not at the table only to find he had been asked by the manager to have a chat. The feedback was not welcomed and then we were also accused of influencing other diners. The food had no aroma or flavour. Please save your money as you can cook can cook better at home or have a better meal at a food court. The experience was terrible but they cover the bill.

My husband and I visited Brisbane, we decided to try a fine dining Restaurant, upon entering we had a very good feeling that the Restaurant looks very unique ,and has a very nice selection of wines. We liked the Atmosphere and looked forward to try the Menu. As soon we sat down we were told that the long course is not available because we arrived @ 19:30 , at the time of the booking it was not mentioned earlier in the day. We went for a 7 short course. First up , amus bouchée , was very simple to say the least , At the time of the order I explained to waitress that I cannot have raw meat or fish because I am pregnant, in which the restaurant offered a vegetarian variant which I didn’t agree with. Amus bouchée was a tofu with cabbage with no taste and my partner had tuna which tasted very plain with little taste at all. Then the following tastings, (courses) were the same ,tasteless, although the dishes were very well decorated. Upon this ,it is through, that these dishes where all pre-made a refrigerated early in the day and not made fresh as expected for fine dining experience. We didn’t find anything impressive of the courses. At the end we were asked about our favourite dish we couldn’t mention anything , moreover we were charged for long course not the short course. We had 3 service attendants asking constantly how is the food and confirming our orders which we find little bit overhelming. Overall the experience was interesting but would not repeat, At the end of our dinner we were offered after dinner experience what actually was impressive- various taste of special chocolates and a liquor. Best about the night was the fine wine . Over priced food , great setting , great wine ,

Came along for the 7 course degustation which was lovely. The service was “miss”. Found one of the waitresses when explaining the degustation meal at every service rude. She only provided eye contact and explanation with my partner and simply ignored me .. I did however in my 7 course receive eye contact on maybe two occasions. I don’t think that she was trying to be rude but it was awkward for my husband and I. I just kept looking at the side of her head trying to listen in like a poor red head cousin. The meals however were lovely (with maybe about two courses which I wasn’t too much a fan on - like the salad )... the seats were quite uncomfortable as i was allocated the lounge and the tables were extremely small. My partner and I felt quite uncomfortable sitting at a small table for a few hours of degustation and we aren’t big people either !

We were a table of four, having booked 2 weeks earlier without any issues. Our COVID check-in's were easily completed, whilst showing our vaccinations were up to date. The 5 course degustation was chosen by all, whilst we opted for individual glasses of wine as we talked and enjoyed the company. The courses arriving at our table were explained explained. Great service, wine and food, what else can one ask for. Just yum!

Friends kindly purchased us a voucher to use at this restaurant as a gift for them staying with us. When called to book a table they would not do without us supplying a credit cards. None of this information was on voucher. Zero customer service, more money focussed, feels like a total scam. Voucher will not be redeemed. More money focussed than customer service focussed.

A very very expensive night out! Overpriced for what you get! We have been to many degustations but this would have to be the most expensive one we have been to and it wasn’t amazing! The staff weren’t overly friendly and the atmosphere was a bit flat and not an amazing location. Would go some where else next time. The food was ok and there was some yummy dishes and nice wines but for the price of $450 for two for a dinner out is on the very exy side

We had recently moved to Brisbane from Adelaide and were a bit disappointed with what we got for what we spent compared to our previous experiences with digustation. I wish we bothered to read reviews as the latest ones are pretty spot on.. The portions were absolutely tiny even the main courses, the food was interesting but certainly not mind blowing for the price you pay.. You are left feeling a bit like you'd just spent more money you have on dinner in a long time, but are still hungry and not really experienced anything particularly memorable.. It feels like there is a much bigger focus on presentation then on flavour, originality and satisfaction (hard to walk away happy when you are still hungry and I'm just a small girl who doesn't eat big portions anyway)

Less than average. 2nd time here after first time disappointed 5 years ago! Thought things would have changed. Service good, food so so. Very tiny portions. We ordered 7 course got 5 course- we were told that everyone gets confused by short course and 7 course. Well change it if everyone gets confused! Arrived at 6pm and finished dinner by 7pm…. They rushed us to get us out. Courses arrived before forks put down!!! Tried to charge $50 surcharge as our 6th guest was sick! They did not tell us upon arrival if this surcharge. We challenged it and got it deducted! No manager came to apologise or talk to us. Just left it to waitresses to sort out. We won’t be back ….. and don’t bother going
