As regulars at the old location in Star Village we were attracted to the place for its homely service, and consistent quality of the dishes from the staff, who are mostly owner operators. After moving to the new location under NT House Rendezvous has stepped it up a notch - the food is still consistently good and there has been... More

This is my favourite restaurant in Darwin. They have recently moved to a bigger venue but they still have the same great delicious food. The staff are all so friendly too. The best Laksa I've ever had and all the other dishes I've tried have been excellent.

The new location under NT House and next door to The Deck Bar on the corner of Mitchell and Bennett St is excellent. More space and the same great Malaysian Menu should be the perfect recipe for continued success. The night friends and I went there were a lot of familiar Darwin faces enjoying the new venue and being able... More

A group went for lunch and most of us pre ordered as we thought they would be busy, those who did not preorder and ordered at the table got theirs first, asked for a jug of water rather than just them bringing cups and 44 minutes later it arrived, asked to order drinks and 30 minutes later and alot of... The Rendezvous Cafe and Restaurant is now located under N T House, at 22 Michell Street, and it's next to the Deck Bar. The new premises are really nice, very large, big new kitchen, lots of seating and really great same owner, some new staff, all terrific. it's BYOG, and is table service. My favourite is their famous Laksa, so... More

I knew the old restaurant at the Star arcade, famous for its laksa soup. Now they relocated near the Parliament house in a bigger and brighter premises but the good service and high quality food is the same. Visited it 3 days ago with my wife and we enjoyed a great chicken anda sea food combination soup (one each). Great... More

Awesome lunch spot if youre after some delicious authentic Thai and Malaysian dishes. Their famous Laksa is huge and delicious and the chicken sate is also tasty. The cafe itself isn't new or modern, but no one goes there for that, youre their for the smiling faces and amazing food.

Well they have been voted. Best Malaysian Laksa, and I can see why. Not the biggest spot around, but very friendly staff and quick service. I can highly recommend the BBQ Pork Laksa, with a ginger beer as a great accompaniment for a fulfilling lunch.

It's a nice, cosy restaurant tucked away in an alley near the mall. Don't expect lots of room- it's more what you could expect in Penang. And it's relatively cheap. They have a full menu and it gets busy at lunch times. Also open a few nights of the week for dinner and you can order take away. Easily the... More

After reading the reviews and seeing it has been around for over 30 years I didn't think you could go wrong. Everyone has their own way of doing things but ........ Ordered mussaman curry which looked and like thai red curry & was tasteless according to my taste buds. Gado Gado which came out as just short of "overcooked" vegetables... More
