We dined at Cafe Sydney recently. We have been there 3 times previously for special occasions. This was another significant event for us but this time we were underwhelmed. We were seated on the balcony which was lovely. We had staff coming from all directions, mostly asking the same questions. It wasn't until later that we ended up with one... More

We dined here for a girls lunch. The restaurant was full but the staff were very friendly and attentive. It's a bit on the expensive side but we'll worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back

We had the worst staff I have ever come across in the whole world (and I travel a lot)! They were rude, ignorant and didn't make us feel welcome at all! Had oysters for a starter and they were nice. The main course was a very dry horrible piece of fish. The ONLY good thing about this place is the... More

We were a group of 8 having lunch before the Adele concert. The staff were fantastic, they were extremely attentive and helpful when we needed help with anything. The food was out standing!!! and the location speaks for it self. I would recommend Cafe Sydney for lunch or dinner if you are visiting Sydney.

My ex colleague booked this place for lunch. The view alone is stunning, you get the harbor, Sydney opera house. It also helped that it was a sunny day. I highly encourage you to book early to get a table with that view. The service is excellent, efficient. I give two thumbs up in modern Australian cuisine, innovative and interesting.... More

This is our favorite restaurant in the entire city. The food is consistently outstanding and the wait staff is the best. If you are looking for spectacular harbor view dining in Sydney this is it. Every visit to the city we book several dinners here. Rather expensive but well worth the visit for a great meal and wonderful experience.

The food was on point unfortunately service wasn't.. I get that it can get busy but to keep people coming back you need more staff working for the amount of tables..

Stunning food but disappointing service which almost ruined the meal. Slow to bring drinks, take our order etc. We asked for water as soon as we sat down and it took 20mins to bring to us! View is amazing but really need to sort out the service.

We enjoyed a marvelous meal here on our first day in Sydney. Our Concierge at the Four Seasons got us a reservation for lunch. We ate on the rooftop and enjoyed beautiful views and terrific food.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
