This place survived the lock-downs on the immense strength of its kitchen. Top chefs serving really fine dining food, but in adequate portions, at moderate, even economical, prices. The service was snappy and it has a full bar. The decor is basic pub. The background...music was intrusive and should have the vocal band notched out so it doesn't interfere with business conversations, which is pretty much why the crowd is there, besides the most excellent food. The main pub is on the ground floor, but the floors above that have seated restaurant areas, also with full bars. There is even an outdoor terrace.More

There are a few places around like the Belvedere but what sets it apart is the attempt to do something different with the food menu upstairs (Greek cuisine) and the rooftop section. Friendly staff and a handy location makes this a little gem. Love to...come back here again soon :)More

We arrived at this restaurant on Mardi Gras evening without a booking for dinner before a show to find it booked out for a large group. However we were able to sit on the balcony and had a lovely meal with great food and wine...- and great service. We were treated really well and We would come back here again and recommend to others.More

Average Greek food at best. If you want to eat Greek I wouldn’t bother with The Belvedere. So many other great authentic Greek restaurants in Sydney.

A pub on the ground floor Greek restaurant on first floor and rooftop terrace on the second, the pub was across the road from where we were staying so we used it a bit, it has a corner window that is great for people watching,...we went to the Greek restaurant on our last night in Sydney and were not disappointed, a fantastic meal and we had a nightcap on the roof terrace !More

This is the hidden gem of a restaurant, it has everything you would want of a restaurant, and we just discovered it by accident. The menu offers a good variety of dishes to choose from, the calamari is perfectly cooked and presented, tastes every bit...as it looks. The slow cooked lamb shoulder is superb, the meat it is moist, tender and smelt of rosemary and tastes flavoursome. The wines are well priced and a good choice is on offer to compliment the dishes available. The service Is provided by smiling and friendly, attentive staff. The view from the 1st floor in the restaurant of the street below adds to the charm. This is a comfortable and attractively decorated restaurant with very good food and wine. I have eaten lunch and dinner over the past 2 weeks and highly recommend this restaurant. The location is ideal just 2 minutes walk from Town Hall train or light rail station.More

The Belvedere Hotel is an unpretentious city hotel that has a stunning Greek restaurant on the first floor. The calamari was perhaps the best we've ever had and the moussaka for two was a large and satisfying dish with truly wonderful flavours. We would highly...recommend this restaurant.More

We'd been trying to book somewhere for a special anniversary celebration on New Year's Eve 2019/20, but everywhere seemed to be either closed or ridiculously over-priced. Until... Until we stumbled across a website listing restaurants that were open on any given day and saw The...Belvedere Hotel's level 1 Greek restaurant. After checking it out online - thanks Tripadvisor - we booked and rocked on up. The Greek restaurant is located on level 1 of this small, central, CBD corner hotel dating from the late nineteenth century (yup, that's the 1880's or so). It's simply and cleanly fitted out in traditional Greek blue and white, and delivers the sort of simple and well-cooked Greek food you'd want to discover, with a well-stocked bar and attentive service. Book, turn-up, check out the menu options and enjoy a highly-civilised Greek lunch or dinner; well-priced, well-presented, and attentively served. Thank you Belvedere Hotel Greek Restaurant, we'll be back! As an aside, the upper floor (level 2) has a wonderfully cosy-looking indoor/outdoor area with handy bar and simple pub-food options for a less 'celebratory' meal. Make sure you're clear when you're booking as to which level you'll be on...More

Since Medusa is shut for the holidays where to eat Greek in Sydney Well I found Greek at The Belvedere Great paiidakia aka lamb cutlets with potatoes and htipiti aka feta/chilli whip washed down with a Lafazanis rose Well priced, even the wine. Great aircon...(maybe a little too cold) and a great balcony with the mandatory herbs growing to vape or smoke on Can't wait to eat here againMore

I’ve come here twice now. The downstairs bar doesn’t have much of a vibe, but if you go upstairs, there is comfortable seating and tables both indoors and outdoors. There are good drink specials, and a menu which is Greek influenced, which makes a nice...change from the usual pub fare. Open on the weekends as well, which isn’t always a given in the CBD.More

Decided to have a pub meal at the Belvedere after a busy day walking around Sydney town. We just ate in the bar area where they seem to have a different deal each night of the week. You can eat there or go up to...the next level where there is a Greek restaurant and another level above that is another eating area. The meal we had was alright , the beer battered fish and chips was nice , as was the chicken salad and the beef burgers . The place got very noisy when a big group arrived but luckily they moved upstairs after a few minutes.. Good place for a nice casual dinner .More

This place is a must go, when in Sydney. I went with my parents and we had a lamb shoulder (enough for the three of us with plenty to spare) and some excellent wine. In fact, we had such a great time my mum and...I went again the following night - we had the pork the second night which was just as good and another great bottle of wine. Great service, great prices - will be coming back when I am next in Sydney!More
