We took our son and daughter in law here for a Sunday lunch treat. The 180 floor to ceiling glass provides fantastic views of the ANZAC Bridge and the city beyond. Table spacings were adequate. The food was wonderful with an emphasis on seafood. Great...More

It has been several years since we've been to The Boathouse and we were disappointed. The food was good, but didn't meet our previous experiences at the restaurant and was totally overwhelmed in any case by the service. The service was poor. Unfortunately there is...More

We chose this venue on the back of a recent TV piece about their source and service of Tasmanian oysters. The dinner just kept getting better. Great fish, attentive service and excellent location with ample on street parking at the door. The oysters were superb!

Busy place with great food. They have delicious fresh oysters and interesting dishes. You have to order the food at the bar and they deliver it.

So, after all the poor reviews on service over the last 3 months your would think this restaurant would take note. Sadly the fact that the service is still bad is indicative of the fact that they just don't seem to care. The food is...More

OK this is one of Sydney's little gems. They have some exceptional seafood on the menu, oysters from the best places in Australia. All the meals are presented so beautifully. The service is very good and they are very attentive but not in your face....More

We visited last Sunday hoping for a special night to celebrate a birthday. Whilst I had read recent reviews about service issues I booked anyway based on the food reputation. The restaurant really does impress with views back towards the city. We were seated quickly...More

Been a patron since 2003. Last night's service was not up to standard. I guess they tried hard but for around ten tables and three waiting staff, their standard is far below standard for a restaurant of this pedigree. Food is consistent and almost as...More

On paying $260 for a meal for two people one expects a certain amount of decent service and to not leave starving and upset at pretty average food and dreadful service. It took an hour and a half to get our mains which when I...More

We came for dinner and the snapper pie was indeed superb, gotta to try it. Good oysters selection, all the other fish dishes were very well prepared. For deserts, the soufflé and sorbet were also excellent. The only let-down was the pepper crab, preparation was...More

It's a nice place but I didn't find it pretentious. You would be equally comfortable and at ease in suit and tie or nice jeans. Personally I went in suit with no tie.
