Having seen the queue, we checked trip advisor and noted how well this restaurant was ranked and we wasn't disappointed. The portion sizes are large so you can order 1 dish and share between 2 people, always better when you can taste more food! The food wasn't super cheap but was cheap compared to many other restaurants in the area.... More

Definitely a must for lunch or dinner. Only annoying thing is that there's always a line and the place is very loud. Must eat is the roti canai and the chicken skewers

This isn't a place to go for long, lingering or romantic dinner - there's a very quick turnaround here and usually a hefty lineup. But we went a bit later, and even with 5 of us, managed to get a table after about 10 minutes. The food really was excellent, especially the roti, but really everything was very good. It... More

You know you're at a good restaurant when there's people lining up to get in. So our hopes & expectations were high and they were met! We loved everything about it, from atmosphere to service to food and prices. All great. The two of us shared half a dozen of beef satay, a chicken kari ayam and their classic roti... More

Was up in Sydney for a business trip and had sudden strong cravings for Malaysian food. Did a quick search and was lucky to find this restaurant! Ended work late and only managed to reach the restaurant at 9.40pm (they close at 10pm). Good to know that they honour the opening hours, and last order/customer is at 10pm, and not... More

My husband & I were visiting Sydney and heard about this restaurant. Having living in Malaysia for 2 year back in the 70's thought we would give it a go. It was fantastic, just as we remember Malaysian food to be. We did have to wait in line but only for about 10 minutes, well worth the wait. Were hoping... More

The kids were thrilled to finally find Roti Tissue in Oz! The queue to get a table was worth the wait. Service was fast. The staff who served us were great. Felt like we were back in KL!

Roti and Sauce = Unbeatable! Fish Curry = Amazing! Service tonite was quick but flawed - rice did not appear (after 3 reminders) but we were not charged. After a 15 minute wait outside and no rice we would still go back again tomorrow! That's saying something! Roti Kanai at $7 = best feel-good cheap meal in town!

My favourite Malaysian eatery outside of Malaysia and Singapore. In particular the Roti is fantastic! The chicken pieces, and fish curry are also both winners.

We're from perth and staying near central station, mamak was suggested to us because it was close and apparently highly rated. I read the reviews before going and anticipated a wait. When we got there, there was a line of about 15 people. The line only lasted 5mins and we were in! We ordered a savoury roti and Nasi lemak... More

Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices.
