This was my second visit to “Mamak” located in a bylane of Sydney’s Chinatown, the first one being 8 years back during my last stay in Sydney. The restaurant hasn’t changed much…… nor has it's food. Just like in Mumbai, due to an uneven ratio...More

I am sad to writing this review. A couple of years ago I thoroughly enjoyed the flavour bombs offered by this restaurant. The roti is still wonderfully flaky and fresh...the accompaniments, the chicken curry and lamb curry were all indiscernable. One single flavour... an average...More

This is high quality food served with a smile, happy staff make for happy customers. After 1830 there is a queue outside but there is a quick turnover and it is certainly worth the wait

Went on a early Sunday night and I had heard it could be very crowded, however I was placed at a table immediately. It is not a place to go for a romantic night with your partner, the tables are close together and the service...More

Terrible. Overrated. Bad food. Bad staff. Bad everything. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find much better Malay dining around the city. Can’t understand why some people rate this place.

We came on a Sunday night around 7:30PM and it I didn't expect it to be so busy. There were about 10 people in line in front of us but moved through fairly quickly. Plus you have entertainment via cooks making roti so the wait...More

This place doesn’t take reservations but we walked straight in for Friday lunch. It looks quite ordinary, seating is plain. Service us prompt. There is a fairly standard Malaysian menu with usual Roti, rice and curry dishes. No alcohol. We had a plain Roti, lamb...More

There is always a line to this place and I think it is because it is different. There is staff making the rotis in the front window. It is great to watch to the person flip the food and creation occur in front of you....More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
