I’ve never been to this style of restaurant before; but it’s the best ever - load up your own bowl with everything you like - weigh it to find out your price - then minutes later it’s cooked. Every time I head into the city...More

The laksa was very nice. But the service was sosososo weird and make me uncomfortable. I asked for an empty bowl. Then I tried to put some chilli sauce in it. The cashier stopped me and said you can’t put chilli sauce in the bowl...More

Picked up an order of chicken Vegtable fried rice and a spring roll for a small take out dinner. It was excellent! Very tasty rice, great tasting spring roll. Prices were very reasonable. Service was very good and food was prepared very quickly. Not a...More

This place is really casual, accepting cash only. It is popular with office workers during the week so it's best to consider the timing of your visit, although they do have a fast through -put of customers. The Laksa is among the very best that...More

I went to Malay Chinese because of it’s close proximity to the Opera House and Royal Botanic Gardens, and I’m so glad. The laksa here is so unbelievably cheap and the tastiest, richest laksa I’ve ever, ever had! They do many different versions from tofu...More

We had lunch at Malay Chinese on Friday. It was not even 12pm and the place was very busy with the city lunchtime crowd. The beef rendang lacked flavour and spice and the beef was not very tender. Next time we will try the crowd...More

Really good Laksa, in a great location right in the heart of the CBD. The restaurant looks a bit old and dated, and the decor is minimal, but as long as you're only here for the food that should not be an issue. The Laksas...More

Have been to this restaurant many times and its curry laksa never fail me. The laksa soup is very consistent and tasted just right. Hor Fun is the other dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. Both these dishes are my favourite from this restaurant.
