Muriel is the consummate host! She has been a Pyrmont institution for over 10 years and incredibly continues to power on ! With mum Jade she brings warmth and persona to the Pyrmont dining scene. Pyrmont is richer for them. Thank you!

Wow this little gem in situated in an old church. Loads of room and great for functions! The food is prepared with Mum in the kitchen. Freshly handmade dumplings you can also purchase fresh so you can freeze and cook at home. Beef and seafood dishes vegetarian all cooked to absolute perfection. Muriel and Jimmy are fabulous hosts / owners... More

We had the 10 course banquet, which was lovely, not too much not too light. They were a bit slow serving the drinks on a hot day, but soon picked up the pace. Lovely setting, efficient in bringing out the courses and coffee I'm told is good. They don't have any air conditioning and were initially hesitant to turn on... More

Tucked away in a side street of Pyrmont, this great little restaurant serves delicious Chinese food of the Taiwanese variety. The menu offers plenty of choice, and a reasonable wine list is offered. The venue is great – it was a church hall 100 years ago, in recent years transformed into a smart restaurant with high ceilings and a lovely... More

A very interesting venue. A Taiwanese restaurant in a former christian church hall. On the plus side the food was delicious. We all enjoyed the dishes that were placed on the table. I couldn't fault any of the food On the negative side some of the dishes were not what we ordered, but we ate them regardless (and they were... More

This is a superb restaurant. We had the pork dumplings and prawn dumplings, fresh and made on the premises. But the dish of the meal was the Wild-Caught Barramundi...simply exquisite. Every dish was fresh and beautifully cooked and presented. The array of deserts finished off a wonderful experience. Host Muriel is funny and totally professional. The best of its kind... More

Some restaurants fly quietly under the radar. I’m surprised to see it’s actually been more than five years since I last dined at Blue Eye Dragon. This is through no fault of the restaurant – which puts out interesting, well-executed Taiwanese food – I just only seem to remember it when I find myself starving in Pyrmont, and keen to... More

My wife and I went there for a pre-theatre meal with high expectations based on reviews we'd read. We reckon all expectations were exceeded! It was a quiet setting in a converted, period church hall. Our hostess assisted us with choosing the entre's and can I say, that both the dumplings and crunchy crabs were amazing! Our main courses were... More

5 stars, everything perfect. We had soft shell crab, Jade's prawns with plum sauce, chilli fish - kids had share plate dumpling entree and fried rice. Food amazing and service to match. Couldn't fault a thing.
