Lots of fresh fish and an amazing Waygu beef. Dessert was fine. We chose the local wine pairing which was very good with more than adequate pours. The seating is rather uncomfortable for a dinner that takes about three hours. They had no problems accommodating...More

From the moment that graceful men in dinner jackets open the doors, Tetsuya's is a performance - and with such Zen surrounds and seamless service, there's not a bad seat in the house. Slather malt bread with ricotta, parmesan and black truffle butter as you...More

An absolutely fantastic restaurant. We wanted to celebrate our stay in Sydney with a great dining experience and this didn’t disappoint. Fabulous location, very select dining rooms delivering a really exclusive “feel”. Brilliant service and an excellent sommelier. The tasting menu was divine and we...More

I concur that this is a “foodies” paradise. It’s fine dining at its finest, as well! Note: You should allow a minimum of 2-2.5 hours or maybe even 3 to fully receive the entire dining “experience!” Yes, it’s absolutely worth it and best to know...More

It's amazing to be downtown in a large city like Sydney and suddenly be transported to an elegant home in Japan. This is a special place. It is quiet, romantic and a balm to one's soul. The food is creative and very satisfying. The food...More

We flew down to Sydney to take friends to Tetsuyas. We have been visiting Tetsuya since his beginnings at Rozelle. Its still a great degustation experience and food so delicately balanced in flavour and seasonings . That signature ocean trout is delicate and delicious ....More

Sorry for the cliched title but that is the best way to describe our luxuriously decadent meal at Tetsuyas. From my perspective I was in awe from the very beginning of my visit where I experienced impeccable hospitality. The fact that my dietary requirements could...More

This is my 3rd visit to this once tranquil Japanese restaurant. Having been twice before l feel l can give a balanced critic. Food as the title says was 100% , service above and beyond as always . However normally the ambience is warm, gentle,...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

Tetsuya's serves a ten course degustation menu. The degustation is unique, based on the Japanese philosophy of using natural seasonal flavours, enhanced by classic French technique and utilising the freshest possible ingredients. Tetsuya designed his own on-site "test kitchen" within the restaurant to enable him to create the constantly evolving and inspiring dishes on which he has built his esteemed international reputation. Tetsuya's offers one of Sydney's most comprehensive wine lists and our sommeliers will, upon request, match the dishes with wine available by the glass.
