Second worst experience at this overpriced , badly organized spot. Unorganized email feedback , incompatible staff. Deserted dinghy setting. Luckily there are 8 other vibrant spots next door. Ended up at Nicks Seafood instead. Booked via email. Got confirmation on a gift voucher I had , only the be told I couldn't use it as the manager wasn't in. Whoever... More

The food is quite nice but over priced. The restaurant is facing west so it's really hot in the afternoon in the summer. They always sell vouchers or offer special. Use the special if you wanna dine there.

This popular restaurant has been around for so long, not surprisingly with great location & beautiful setting. It is popular with tourists and great for dates. The menu is modern Japanese & on the pricier side. The food is fresh although the wagyu beef tataki looked a little lifeless in colour and texture which was disappointing. Food is tasty especially... We ordered the hot seafood platter unfortunately it was a little disappointing for the price $168 for two and not substantial that we need to order additional plates It's a shame that the venue is brilliant however it was let down by the food

My partner and I visited Kobe Jones again thanks to a special deal they had with Livingsocial. It was a spring degustation taste sensation complete with a glass of Moet! The food and service did not disappoint (though their Alaskan crab was a little ordinary, but their Flaming Anko (reen tea crème brulee with red bean served flaming to the... More

Food was very good however service was poor. I stood at reception waiting for 5 min for someone to show me to my table. I asked the waiter if they had wifi and he said "yes we do but we don't give out the password"!

We enjoyed the food including the volcano roll. Service was very poor. Steamed vegetables arrived after we had eaten the mains, even though we had asked them to follow up. Also, Wednesday night is supposed to be a free champagne for women. We asked our server for the drink, and he isn't understand so sent someone else to help us.... More

I have been to many a Teppanyaki in my lifetime and I must say that the experience at Kobe Jones (The Rocks) was absolutely dismal. So dismal in fact, that it would be gracious to liken the experience to a funeral. It was sad, grim and such a morose experience. Whilst the food was tasty, the chef did not have... More

My friend and I enjoyed the 12-dish Winter Luxury Degustation for which we had purchased a deal. We came for lunch to celebrate her birthday. The food was delicious with small courses including duck sushi, Alaskan crab, several other seafood offerings, Wagyu beef cooked on a hot stone and green tea brulee. We had an excellent quiet table on the... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
