We had a meal here and it was up and down. The lamb chops were outstanding but the vegetables very just okay and the beef fry was average.

We were Birthday party of 25. The service was fast and the food was fresh and delicious. They started clearing away the tables around us quite early which made us feel a bit hurried.

By far one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sydney. Reasonably priced and delicious meals. I would recommend the Peking duck for two. Very nice indeed.

Amazing little balls filled with warm custard for only 35 cents each! Got to experience an emperor puff when... More

If you're ever near Chinatown in Sydney you must go here! The cream puffs from the little hatch outside are amazing!

We found this place open at 730 am for an early Yum Cha fix- fantastic. The dumplings were delicious, food was hot and hit the spot. The service was friendly albeit not always efficient- orders are forgotten etc however the general vibe was good and food plentiful do not too much of a concern. The pastry/bread shop connected to the... More

We came here for a Yum Cha breakfast over the weekend and we were very happy with the food. We tried quite a few different Yum Cha favorites and we enjoyed all of them. Service is very efficient and it is a bit expensive for Yum Cha, but as I only go here when I stay nearby I am happy... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
