Good pastries but let down by the inordinate wait for the coffee. 20 minutes from when we ordered it!!

Grabbed some pastries and a coffee for breakfast over the weekend. Excellent pastries on offer - as good as you will get!. Definitively go back for a sit down meal next time I'm in Sydney

Great cafe for a quick espresso and snack. To eat they have all sorts of sweet and savory pastries. Service is quick and friendly.

Lots of character, in a very historic part of early Sydney. The Coffee is good as well as the Deserts and lunch is not too bad as well. Its a first and last stop on visits to the City. Tre fantastic French Pasteries

A few steps away from Danieli's Cafe is a patisserie that you should not miss. You would have to queue up to have a bite of La Renaissance's baked French goods, but it's definitely worth it. Its Pork and Fennel Sausage Croissant (AUD 6) is highly recommended!

Visited during lunch time. There was a queue but it moved quickly. The coffee was pretty perfect and the pastries were deliciously French. Would definitely recommended.

Go bs this lovely French bakery in the Rocks, with a nice patio at the back. Their croissants and Danish pastries were divine. Great coffee too!

Delicious French sweet and savoury treats - baguettes, quiches, and pastries to die for!! Lovely quiet ambience in the cafe area through the back - compared with the faster-paced, more public aspect of the tables near the front entrance.

Without doubt as a lover of cakes I would class this cafe as one of the best cake cafes I have ever visited. I had an absolutely superb cake ( Zulu) and intend to try others when I am next in Sydney.

Visited this cafe twice whilst staying in Sydney. Beautiful little courtyard out the back. Had a cheesy croissant for breakfast. Perfect coffee and the best lemon cheesecake I have ever had. In fact the cheesecake was so good I had it two days running. Will...More

Description
Welcome to La Renaissance! We are one of Sydney's oldest family-owned French patisseries, and the first in the Southern Hemisphere to be awarded the prestigious Relais Desserts status with our head chef and co-owner Jean Michel Raynaud. Each morning we serving fresh buttery pastries, hot coffee & tea, juice, savouries and cakes every day. A great place to recharge and relax if you're new to Sydney and exploring Circular Quay and The Rocks, or a favourite for locals. Our best-selling items include almond croissants and the Monet, a white chocolate mousse cake with lychee jelly, raspberries and coconut base. Cult favourite, the ham and cheese croissant, sells out daily as well, with a shredded ham & cheese bechamel inside and on top of the croissant. Baked until crisp but still a little soft inside... we say yes please!
