We wanted to take our kids to a fun restaurant. We weren't disappointed. This was a great night. The chefs were very friendly and entertaining. Food was great and fresh. The egg throwing and rice catching was awesome. Our kids loved the night and tasted everything.

The food throwing provided good entertainment for both adults and children. The chefs have clearly been instructed to put on a show. The food was ok though not exceptional, as you would expect in a teppanyaki restaurant.

You enter this place by taking a flight of concrete steps down below street level. Not a lot of frills in terms of the furnishings, but comparatively speaking with other restaurants in Sydney, you get a lot of food for what you pay, and it's tasty and the service is good. They have different sized packages for the meals so... More

Fun family birthday dinner with children but service not up to scratch.Had to ask repeatedly for water. When we arrived no other patrons and even though we had booked they absolutely refused to move us from the table directly in front of the door.Attitude plus.On a cold and wet night, not a good atmosphere so I wore my coat throughout the meal.... We dined at I Chi Ban on Saturday night as a group of 5 people for a first time Teppanyaki experience. Don't be concerned by I Chi Ban's furnishings despite being quite dated, the food is tasty and experience is very enjoyable. We ordered Banquet B at $46 per person and we were pleased with the quanitity and quality of... More

One of the few teppanyaki places that opened for lunch. The place has no fancy decor do not pretentious. Polite and quick service, food was good, would recommend to do the menu with games. That was the fun bit!

I dined at I Chi Ban last night as a group of 9 and definitely enjoyed the experience. It's very interactive and we shared a lot of laughs as we tried to catch eggs and bowls from the chef's challenge. I think this type of dinner is best with a large group to share the laughter and extend the experience.... More

Went for a Valentine's date , we had only two mouth fulls of meat , a scoup of rice and that's it , don't fooled with the expectations you will defiantly get ripped off in price here , for its location and atmosphere it's pretty dead and cold . They could do with some renovations . The chef wasn't as... More

Been here quite a few times now and this place is NOT pretentious, expensive or luxurious. It is however excellent value for money and fun. It is particularly good for kids and the chefs they employ are all part of the fun. Highly recommended for an introduction to simple Teppanyaki and office parties, kids birthday parties etc. Make sure you... More
