My husband and I ate lunch here on a very busy Sunday. It was at least 10 minutes before our order was taken, by a pleasant waitress whose English was not great. A burger and fish & chips were brought to us after a 25 minute wait. We ordered a burger with no mayo and a chicken Caesar salad, so... More

Visited today with friends. Terrible food, terrible service, saving grace was the fantastic location. 25 minute wait for the wine, 45 minute wait for salads which were below average - too much dressing and odd flavours. Will not be back.

Dined here early evening for a special group event. Not very welcoming, the girl behind the counter had trouble understanding my order, sort of waved in a general direction towards the tables after taking the order. I ordered a prawn tempura and my partner a beef burger. The burger was a bit "chewey" and the roll was not fresh. The... More

I had the sail away take away which, according to the board is supposed to have "house made tartare sauce" but I got something cheap from a packet... The fish was really nice, but the chips were cold.

We were visiting the Maritime Museum, and I must admit I thought it would be way too expensive when my friend suggested we eat at Yots. Yes, it is probably more expensive than other places outside the Museum precinct (you don't have to pay to go to some of the museum, so anyone is welcome at Yots). My vegetarian panini... More

We found a table and sat for over 10minutes before thinking we needed to go to counter to place order although we did see 1 staff member take the order at the table next to us however we approached the counter and they said have a seat and someone will be with you soon.. A further 15 minutes went by... More

Today at lunchtime I had the worst piece of fish that I have ever eaten in Australia. A flat and thin (runover?) grilled piece of Barramundi with the texture somewhere between rubber and leather. Only the hint of it's inate colour gave it away as fish. And yes, I told the staff. Service and chips were cheery. But that was... More

We had a family lunch here recently, aged fro 15-82 and it was almost perfect! The barramundi was moist and full of flavour, the chicken and beef burgers went down well with the kids, the tempura prawns were light and crisp . . . . but the chicken breast was dry, and the salad it was on very oily. However,... More

Next door to Maritime Museum this cafe is friendly efficient and serves the best iced coffee going! Used on many occasions during our stay and never let down.

When you visit the Australian National Maritime Museum located in Darling Harbour, you have a lot of options for meals and snacks. Most are extremely expensive, but not this place. I found it very reasonable and the quality was good also. Good prompt service also.

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
