Outstanding cocktails. Opted for the cheaper of the degustation options. Each course was delicious, considered and, above all, tasty. Sashimi was fresh, they were able to switch out the oysters for nigiri. About 2.5 hours on a Saturday evening, with a nice pace to the dishes - never felt rushed but also never left waiting. The service was attentive -... More

We came here only because it seems to be the only few places in Sydney that has fois gras. The highlight for us was the scampi fois gras dish. We hope that the fois gras wasn't shaved though. Kinda strange.

Although we appreciated the ambience of the restaurant upon entry, the service left much to be desired from start to finish. A 15 minute wait at the bar turned into 45 minutes, with no response to our enquiry when we asked when our table would be ready. It took abnormally long for us to be presented with menus at the... We went on a weekday night as Toko does not take bookings under 6 people, and we got a spot at the bar straight away. We were in the corner and may be that's why we were a little neglected, as we were not in their clear vision. We ordered the $98 per person degustation tasting menu. For our first... More

I stumbled upon this restaurant while attending a rather dull conference in Sydney. This made it more worthwhile. The ambiance and layout is very open and informal. I sat at the bar. The food was superb. I had the 10 piece sashimi ( Chefs choice ) and it was very good. This was followed by the teriyaki soft shell crab... More

Love this place. A group of us went for a work lunch and it was nothing short of perfect. Amazing service, food and atmosphere. We opted for the $98 taster menu and not one of the team was disappointed. Flavours a plenty, the gasps of pleasure with every mouthful were heard throughout our group. Cannot recommend enough for friends or... More

I went to a birthday party here in the front bar. They had great finger food and very attentive staff.

We stumbled across Toko this week while staying in Sydney and we were very pleasantly delighted. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was fabulous. Being tired and feeling a little lazy we selected the "Sora" tasting menu described as the chef’s selection of signature dishes and the stream of delicate and delightful food kept rolling. There were... More

Great place, busy, nice ambience, good service and a great fish menu too. Beef was exceptional others in the party said. Conversation still easy, even though it was busy.

We'd already had some starters at Mille Vini earlier, so just wanted some light 'extras'. This was no problem for the friendly staff and we were ushered to a spot on the large shared table. My friend had a sushi platter (delicious) and I went straight to dessert - amazing chocolate fondant that was worth the calories! We sampled the... More
