after a long walk in the botanic garden we walked into the pavilion for a much needed break over some cold drinks. A lady walked out of the back area, scanned both of us from head to toe, and asked us what we were there for. Slightly confused, I replied "some drinks". Seeing at least four other tables with ice... I took my girlfriend to the Pavilion for lunch and of course I had to pick the coldest, wettest day! Which is such a shame as from what ever table you have in the restaurant you can look out into the beautiful gardens. The service was excellent, even though we keep talking all the time and the poor waiting staff... More

The food is good and the service pleasant but somewhat hit and miss, for example our fresh fruit platter arrived as fruit toast! Our daughter booked on line and had both a text and email acknowledgment, yet there was no record of any booking when we arrived. It is a pleasant place to eat in amongst trees in the Domain... A beautiful venue for functions and group events. The staff are very professional and attentive. Regardless of the type of event, the cocktails, canapés and desserts are simply stunning. You will feel spoiled! A perfect place to play posh :)

Had a pleasant lunch here but it could be so much better. Thankfully the food is better than the service they provide. They failed to reply to my email and telephone messages during the week before my party of 8 had lunch there. They failed to clean our table before we sat at it. They failed to take notice of... Needing a bite to eat before visiting the New South Wales art gallery we ventured into the Pavillion. The service was friendly but the table set up a little shambolic. We ordered a lunch special which included a glass of wine. Our meals certainly passable but the overall experience lacking in enthusiasm.

The place looks better and more promising than it actually is. What lets the place down is the poor and grumpy service (something I only noted later in other reviews). This is a shame as the food we had was truly very good and it's a shame when the kitchen is let down by its front staff. Just based on... More

On a beautiful August Sydney day, with sunshine bouncing off the domain, my wife and I had a great meal at this restaurant. The three course lunch was excellent in all aspects of taste, presentation and atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Food, wine and an outlook that was quite unique made this a wonderful experience, especially after... More

Came here just for some coffee and banana bread before hitting the art gallery. The staff were friendly, clean and very pleasant. The coffee was great and banana bread really good. I'd definitely visit again. Disability friendly? Yes. Easy access to all tables and an open aera. Toilets are also on one level. Family friendly? Definitely. You'd easily fit prams... More

There is more than one part to this place. There is a restaurant, as well as a kiosk on the side of the building. The food is pretty good. It may seem a little over priced, however, the fish and chips and pork burger were very good. Sitting outside is quite nice as well. There is people watching in the... More
